Popping my head back in here this month with an entry! (it probably will just be this contest for the time being given how Lent falls this year). I've got something I'm happy to put in as an entry eve

It feels good to be back! No idea what the contest looks and feels like now but I've sent my favourite new discovery of the past month or so and hoping I come back with powah POWAH. Good to see not

NMF saves Buzzjacker from certain death, yet again.

we have changed our entry...

bye alt/indie, we're going cheap pop x

Honestly, if you are perfectionist, trying to win here probably isn’t the smartest idea. You’ll spend about 20 minutes on a single banner, and with all the song resubmissions and tweaks, that can easily turn into around 100 banners.
That’s 20 × 100 = 2000 minutes of work, or roughly 33 and a half hours.

give your cheap pop artist BAD SHRIMP, NOW

Not another confirmation window closing on New Music Friday. I saw a few BJSC former top five artists had released new music today and was about to send help for the mods.

it’s so hit or miss tho, like the curated new music Spotify playlists either offer tons of gold or absolutely nothing, no middle ground

it’s as black and white as the life itself.

Self-recycling an artist who I sent fairly recently which is not great but the actual track is quite obscure and sounds different to the last entry by her so I don't feel like it's cheap. And everything else about my entry feels right - a super unique structure for a house/jungle (?) track with a load of tempo changes.

Let the bloodbath begin. Looking so much forward to BJSC181

I enjoyed BJSC180 so much, eventhough my song was eliminated in the quarter final. I took several top 10 hits from it - so much fun!!!

Confirmedddd

I pulled a Math once again and fell asleep for most of the evening ddd but waking up and inspecting the spreadsheet we've got 65 confirmed nations which is the most we've had since BJSC 163!

(lost Aesthetica & Utopia from the last contest but gained the debuting Ennea and returning Ben's Sanctuary, D'yermak'er, Hushkanukia, Juranabaijan, Lotunia & Niceland - plus Bøtanikkä depending on whether you do or do not consider them to technically be returning x)

@*Ben* nice to see you returning in particular as you dropped out for a few contests again just as you were on the verge of reaching your 50th entry! The current one is your 49th so you can send an anniversary entry next if you'd like to magic

also belatedly hopping on the trend, my medallist nationalities:

5x USA (070 Shake, DANCE WITH THE DEAD, Jay Dabhi, Jaymes Young, tiny deaths)

1x Fr*nce (Minuit Machine)

1x Isr*el (A-WA)

1x Lebanon (Nur Jaber)

1x Norway (Truls)

1x Spain (Baiuca)

1x Sweden (Kids Of The Apocalypse)

My best performing British artist is still my very first top 10 hit from BJSC 30 (Spark who came 6th).

Omg. So excited to be back! The prophecy of Juranabaijan coming back with a smash hit may yet be true!

It's been over 11 years (and over 110 contests): I didn't know how to be successful then, let's see if that's changed!
