April 17Apr 17 Ooooh quite like it on the first listen! I like how it starts off new wave-y and then develops more into her pop/rocky sound she's known for as it goes along.
April 17Apr 17 I really love this after a few listens but it does not match up to the level of her other lead singles. Feels more like a single that should have come after the lead
April 17Apr 17 Yeah, this is the best new song out this week. Really enjoyed it from first listen.Might not be about to knock Rein Me In off the top, but think it will come quite close.
April 17Apr 17 This feels like me-bait on paper with new wave influences, a 'Just Like Heaven' reference and the Wolf Alice-esque talk-speak verse, but it's not all quite coming together yet for some reason. I think I was anticipating more of a blockbuster for her lead single. Hopefully it'll grow now I can manage my expectations.
April 17Apr 17 I'm in "like it, don't love it" territory at the moment. It's not as thrilling as Vampire.
April 17Apr 17 I kinda love it! It builds really nicely - my only critique is I wish it went a little harder near the end. Honestly I would've loved if she pulled off a transition similar to Billie's "Happier Than Ever".
April 17Apr 17 Don't like this song at all. Sounds quite dated actually.I always tend to find Olivia Rodrigo's music hit or miss anyway, "good 4 u," "vampire," "bad idea right?" love those. But not liking this song.
April 18Apr 18 This one has grown on me with every listen. Definitely more understated than I expected from an Olivia lead, but it is so charming. Also nice to actually have an Olivia being happy’ lead.Really hard to call how high this will peak as nothing seems to be having a huge impact this year, but can see this hanging around top 40 until the end of Summer at least.
April 18Apr 18 This gets better with every listen! Similar to deja vu, I was underwhelmed on first listen but I love the way it builds - really hope it's big for her!
April 19Apr 19 Addison Rae brought liv out at Coachella! They sang headphones on together and then drop dead!
April 19Apr 19 Olivia sounded….initially very off pitch when the song began eek!Still loving the song after initial hype has died down.
April 20Apr 20 drivers license and vampire hit me harder way more initially on first listens as lead singles but this is is still pretty decent in its own right.I think it could grow but I prefer a lot of her other tracks to this on first listen. I do appreciate that it is different for her though in terms of production and I do kinda welcome a new #1 too (if this gets there that is…) I definitely am here for the rest of the album though SOUR inpaticular was a very strong album and GUTS had plenty on there that I return too as well so I’m keen to see how the rest of the album fares.I hope the second single is stronger but quite a few recent female albums have had the follow up being bigger than the “lead” (eternal sunshine with we can’t be friends), MAYHEM with Abracadabra as of the top of my head examples). April 20Apr 20 Its definitely been growing on me but after listening to sour and guts she definitely has released better and not just the leads
