They now prioritise the sales and airplay chart and use the singles chart as filler

They’re only pointless because they don’t focus on the singles chart. Their main priority is the sales and airplay chart. They even chose to ignore dance as well as urban. Watch a lot of these snubbed dance hits appear on the annual 2027

Because it’s been doing the rounds thanks to the football and even if it did re-enter on Friday, it will more likely drop out the following week. I’ve been hearing that song a lot of lately aside from the world cup

I want to see mr brightside top 40 again ideally repeaking but im fairly certain its not been top 100 for over 500 weeks because of the football

even though the world Cup felt like it went on 500 weeks

I do think it will hold in the top 40 come Friday, especially being as high as #4 on Spotify and even higher in the mids than last week. It’s an iconic track so I’m not fussed if it sneaks in tbh

no literally the double standard is crazy 😭. and this is one of the songs that started the trend of songs staying for an insane amount of weeks so youd think they’d have more problems with it.

The New Order albums at #11 & #61 were combined in their original run - maybe they will be by Friday.

'Three Lions' hanging in there at #91 - we still believe, we still believe!

(or not... in the same mids following the "bronze" match and final in 2018 it was at #83, and ended the week at #97)

Yes, I'm not sure whether that could be combined with 'The Best Of' as it's a different set of tracks, but I'm pretty sure 'The Best Of' and 'The Best Of / The Rest Of' were combined before, like a deluxe version.

I can only assume it's the standalone vinyl variants driving the separate positions for the individual albums (maybe some streaming too)

If WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! remains top 40 on Friday, it’ll officially overtake Prada as RAYE’s longest running top 40 hit 👀

I would welcome Mr Brightside back in the Top 40.
