August 5Aug 5 It’s probably not helped by the fact I think we all called it different names at various parts of the contest. It’s been BJFestivalen, Buzzfestivalen and Buzzjackfestivalen depending on the day 😂

Knowing there's a long song coming up does make me dread it a little rbh. That being said, I do think some people send long songs so they're intentionally taking up a chunk of the run time or just to be different. It sometimes feels like a contest on who can send the longest song. Each to their own etc but I wouldn't be opposed to capping songs at 5/6 minutes as then I could fairly listen to everything and overall run time of the semis/final would be reasonable. This is news to me that 'a lot of people won't be willing to giving it the full duration'.Disappointing. August 5Aug 5 Author Deadline for song length discourse is in 5 hours which is also the confirmations deadline, many thanks xx
August 5Aug 5 The way some of y'all are actually expecting me to listen to 10+ minutes of a wall of noise is actually crazy to me. If there is nothing interesting in the 4 or 5 parts I listen to, why would you expect me to go through it all. I don't even listen to 3 minutes if I already know it is not my thing. I got shit to do, sisters 💀 y'know, like touch some grass or somethingi wouldn't even expect that for my basic 3 minute sangs if it's not your thing.(I dont usually immediately delete them from my playlist as I listen while I workout so usually zone out but if I skip, you're out)
August 5Aug 5 Lock in people, this is no place for pleasure or music discovery, TIME IS MONEY and you are all wasting mine with your egregious show-off walls of noise!

Only I sat through the whole thing on all occasions! Some things just aren't my thing. If I come across one of these hour long songs and it doesn't grab me within 5 mins, I might have to flex my listening habits as 60 minutes feels like a long time in which I could be listening to something I actually like 🤣
August 5Aug 5 I said what I said. Enjoy your long songs while I enjoy (mostly) the shorter ones. That's the beauty of it all40 minutes ago, Colm said:How many times has +10 mins wall of noise been entered?Plenty

I’m sure this applies more to the proverbial repetitive unchanging dance beats than a song that changes, though either way there’s not all that many songs where if someone didn’t like its first part that they’d be convinced by the parts that start 7+ minutes in

August 5Aug 5 I guess I stick it out through the 7mins in case that's just the build up. Edited August 5Aug 5 by Colm
