August 19Aug 19 Oh that's amazing...I always felt like Dua's 'Levitating' never showed up on any Most Streamed Songs lists because of 2 versions counted separated, where in fact combined it has almost 4 billion streams

I can't find any articles announcing this being an intentional change unless I'm just not searching the right keywords. (And surely if it was then it would happen to all songs at once rather than just a few random ones)
August 19Aug 19 Also I was thinking Fontaines' showing on Apple actually felt a little bit underwhelming - that Spotify debut is more what I thought they might manage! (Whether it maintains anything close to that for more than one day is a different question of course x)

I think this time there were quite a lot of songs (dozens, potentially hundreds) that got combined and some jumped on a bandwagon of assuming it was an update Spotify was rolling out (I jumped on the bandwagon as well it seems!). I can't find anything official from Spotify either.

I'm interested to know what you're basing this on!The only things I can think of are some of her songs dragging other popstars (like 'Stupid Girls'), but I think everyone is pretty much aware that was mostly rooted in her own insecurities and a sense that she didn't really belong in the industry. I'm not sure we can really say now that she's a horrible person based on what she was saying 20 years ago; bear in mind there was a culture of glamourising unhealthy eating disorders, with the aspiration of being size zero, and not really being common for popstar women to talk about anything particularly deep... so it was probably an accurate representation of how she was feeling. (Thankfully that culture seems to have shifted a fair bit, 20 years on!)Aside from that... Maybe the Christina thing? August 20Aug 20 I’ll still stand by P!nk for Stupid Girls. A lot of the point that was trying to be made still stands.I do know what this poster is referring to and can understand the dislike. It’s something I don’t agree with her on but the only thing and she’s such a great artist for me and so I can separate it quite easily on this occasion as otherwise she appears to be quite a good person.But why is Just Give Me A Reason blowing up? I’m all for it!
