Let me correct that then.(I'm sure there is/was a justification for why final and semi scoreboards are split differently but that reason is not obvious to me right now).in the semis it’s to try to take a little bite out of the „wrong semi“ and acknowledge that to score big with a few people compared to more kinda safe uninspired stuff that is kinda just like ok to everyone is maybe someone that will find a bigger audience in the final. In the final it’s the opposite. The broad appeal carries more weight than the niche fave because it favours a track that had found more of an audience and its result is more representative of the overall view of the final

August 21Aug 21 It’s about damn time! Well done Iz, it wasn’t far out of my votes but didn’t need them, it was indeed something of a landslide in the end. Thanks Harve for a great contest very well hosted. Sorry I couldn’t see it all unfold live as it was so well done. For anyone struggling with DNQs, Iz turned a semi last place last month to a big win and I was the other semi last place last month. With that in mind, I’m absolutely elated with fourth place. Such a nice thing to get after a triple DNQ, and I just love this song. I immediately had to confirm it the moment I heard it. Thanks to Brer, Julian and AllStar for golds and all the other lovely medals and points, I did see and appreciate each one a lot. Great pop song from Addy in second too there, and delighted to see Aeroche top five, that was generally so underpredicted (but RontBet had it 6th, and got the winner correct and Addy top three).
August 21Aug 21 Many thanks @Harve for hosting. Congratulations @Iz様 🌟 on winning the contest. Thanks to everyone who voted for East Rukahavian, much appreciated.

August 21Aug 21 The fun doesn't end here for me 😁 I'm trying to keep up with listening to the opposite semi's DNQs in every contest now, so I will get on that soon ❤️ I may even reveal which one was my favourite xo
August 21Aug 21 Aeroche did incredibly well with such a throwback dance remix of UK rap. I was a bit concerned if it will cross over enough and qualify so kudos to that!Anyway, as for my result. Shook that I'm even 2nd in SF1 which I felt was a bit more pop in a few ways than SF2? Also, 6th again in the final (222 points ).(Still no odd-numbered final placement this year...)Very unexpected outcome but thank you to everyone that pointed 'MOD'. Finally a top 10 placing that isn't an artist recycle or having million plus plays! ☺️ I wanted to try another girl group (just something to fulfil) but this time, the more alternative-leaning sort because I was curious and it's uncommon I think? Plus, being in my element as much as possible.Well, gotta decide on my next one to send "in my element". Edited August 21Aug 21 by AllStarBySmashMouth
Friday at 23:085 days I forgot to mention: Witnessing a Séyetana win on their 151st entry is seriously amazing even if I wasn't around for the majority of their time in BJSC!(And it's the same index number as Mew in the Pokédex entry) Edited Friday at 23:105 days by AllStarBySmashMouth
Friday at 23:215 days 3rd?! Wow. Was only expecting 15th-18th at absolute highest! Wth. Thanks to everyone who pointed it!Congratulations Iz! So happy for you. Not really *my* thing but really pleased for you and that you’ve managed to finally get a BJSC win under your belt!
Saturday at 00:005 days Congrats to Séyetana on your first victory! 🥳I like the song, I likely would have voted for it.
Saturday at 00:055 days Congratulations @Iz様 🌟 for the first victory!welp, now I'm having mixed feelings about whether I should host Konoha Mencari Bakat or go all-out otaku (which I've already planned for November) next month x Edited Saturday at 00:085 days by CowTzy
Saturday at 00:245 days aww we love seeing that Séyetana win coming to fruition.....and damn what a tune to do it with 🔥❤️ congrats @Iz様 🌟 - a toast to QUALITY and TASTE finally reigning supreme!
Saturday at 01:495 days see i predicted the right winner! (and the right 2nd place apparently)congrats iz on finally winningggggg who is sending jace cameron next?the late surge of votes propelled me to 13th omgggg x thanks for many medal positions!!!! very satisfied and i hope y’all will enjoy the next entry too from Catalonia!maybe linda will return as the presenter again someday!
Saturday at 04:315 days I slept through the results again sorry! I'll read through the thread properly and comment more tomorrow (well, today x) but decided to spare myself the 'tension' and just jump to the end - I'm used to going into results threads feeling like I have pretty much no idea who's going to win but this month was different, 'Caught In A Jam' I think is the first song in quite a long time that I've heard and just felt that it'll surely win. So that's validating to see it did indeed win quite comfortably. Well done Iz, very well deserved and obviously long, long overdue <3 Between the successes of this and hemlocke springs we all need to be on the lookout for the next up and coming black woman making this kind of no-genre-but-also-every-genre music xAlso makes it 3 winners in a row I've voted for (and 4 of the last 5 since my infamous run of snubbing 12 winners in a row came to a close). Nature is healing.
Saturday at 05:525 days Oh my god really kicking myself for not sending Portraits Of Tracy now But congrats Iz, very much deserved and I’m happy to have been the one that kicked off her hype train xExpected better for Dev Lemons and thought she had more crossover appeal but 16th is still decent. People are super stingy when it comes to Kathaldazia points lately !! doesn’t matter how punchy or huge the song is, here’s a 6 points or a 2 points or a commiseration
Saturday at 07:005 days Okay now that i've gotten over my disappointment of another low results.Congrats Izzebel It wasn't my sang per se, but I kinda bopped along so that is an achievement as well!!!Bring on the next edition, I have found the winner (but I will be on holiday from the 2nd half of september so I'm gonna see how I shall fix this)
Saturday at 07:395 days Congratulations @Iz様 🌟 for the well deserved win after such a long time. Happy that Bronzil made the Top 10 - Isabel Larosa is such an outstanding artist. Congrats @gooddelta for coming back in style. Brilliant song. Happy that Sovarasma made a great comeback in the second half of the votes - a pity that Jadakissnia dropped in the same time. Thank you for hosting @Harve
Saturday at 08:005 days Congratulations Iz fantastic winner and a long-awaited first BJSC win! The early hype for Portraits Of Tracy was something else to witness and I was happy to jump on that, brilliant to see her end up with 36 voters! Look forward to a visit to Séyetana next time.Read through everything pretty quickly so may have more to comment on later, but I'm delighted with 8th place for Isabel LaRosa - I didn't know what to expect from sending a ballad, and it turned out to be my most polarising finalist with 18 voters but an average of 11.5 points each! Thank you for the 3 golds from Till (who I already knew was a big fan of hers and the song), Liam and Henessy, as well as silvers from Tim and Colm, bronzes from Herbs, Nine and Scene, 12s from Rich and elgornio, 11s from Iz and Phil, 9s from Chez, WoW and Rob, and the remaining points from Addy, Patrick and Lex. It's my sixth top 10 hit and ninth top 15 - they've all been in different positions, but have been more thin on the ground of late than some recent predictions have suggested, so I'm very glad to have found plenty of big supporters this time!Thank you Harve for your hosting of a memorable edition! 👏
