I never thought when I entered this song that it’d be anywhere near contending but as the contest unfolded and all the hype seemed to be coming from everywhere (with especial thank you to blacksquare as well as everyone else who stanned it enough to keep mentioning it), I was trying not to allow myself to believe that it would happen lmaovery glad to win and it’s not even that it took 15 years to do it lol but it’s just a real excellent feeling seeing those points roll in all in support of this amazing tune Portraits of Tracy createdthank you harve for some brilliant hosting, I am technically away right now but I will look very much forward to inviting you all to Séyetana next month

August 21Aug 21 Delighted with top 10! Waaaayyyyy more than I expected when I entered it so really thrilled.But even more thrilled for Iz - a great entry and a winner I can very much get behind. My favourite from the real contenders, although a special mention to Jonjo as well who sent a cracking pop track this month. Glad I was nearly right with my Seyetana vs Ojnoj prediction. I was blindsided by Botanikka a bit - but that’s another great result for Addy, such consistency this year <3Thanks Harve for a good contest!

August 21Aug 21 Wow, not even close in the end! I did wonder if it was a deceiving reveal order when it wasn't order of receipt xCongrats Iz on finally getting that long awaited BJSC win! A fantastic song to do it with, was very instant with the vocals and production working so well together and the FKA Twigs vibes. Very pleased to see Lentyll, FSR Rontvia, Bronzil and Fljotavik in the top 10 too.I cannot seem to break this 20s and 30s deadlock recently but that is my second best result of the year so I'll take it I guess! Thank you for all who voted! It's not the most distinctive post rock I've sent admittedly, but something like this is always worth a send xThank you for the very efficient hosting, Harve!

August 21Aug 21 Author Spreadsheets to pore over here!Don't get me wrong, it was a joy to host and I'm delighted to see Iz win so either way it was always going to be good news, but the semis really didn't indicate that this would happen! As you can see, @leww got the highest point total in the semis by some distance, and I was equally looking forward to crowning Aeroche as a shock winner after barely getting any hype (and then I really would have been able to do some crazy manipulations with the vote reveal order as his points were coming from all over the place taste-wise). But last night it was looking extremely bizarre with the results looking much more in line with predictions than the semis indicated, and both Aeroche and Fljótavík (the other semi winner), hanging just outside the top 10. The final voters did enable them to pull back so I'm sure they won't be unhappy with 5th and 9th respectively!

So thrilled that you finally got a win and with a great song to boot 🥰 I remember you revealing that Séyetana passed up on Sovarasma's top 5 hit 'Rasa' recently so hooray that you ended up finding an even bigger smash in the end!12th is a solid finish for a back-up choice so I'll take that <3 it is a little gutting to have missed the top 10 after I sat in there for so long tonight, but I can't get too greedy after my last two results...! 12th still my third best finish of the year so far, so have continued to turn things around in the summer months this year.I voted for 4 of the top 10 this time (Séyetana, Lentyll, Neliönoir and Fljótavík), so a drop from last contest, but three others were in my commiserations too at least.I'm shocked that my 18 from the Spodic Empire barely scraped the top 30, I thought that would be a top 10 hit :( my 15 from Deandria only finished 41st as well... </3 thanks both for the amazing discoveries. Glad my bronze, courtesy of Elëdan, placed in the top 20 at least.New Helvetica's debut matched Jadakissnia's, but they didn't quite snap with our second result, instead skipping ahead to our third as we also finished 36th in BJSC 76 *_*Thank you Harve for a wonderful hosting job ❤️ can't wait for Iz hosting next. Hopefully I don't get beaten to my first choice by milliseconds again...! Not that I know what that is right now. I feel like the moment has passed for 'PQC' (as technically that song wasn't vetoed) so back to the drawing board!

I was so certain about this, that I felt a sense of guilt when it was quite a way behind the lead at one point but I’m equally thrilled for you and the song that you’ve finally got your win. It’s been a real earworm for me, not necessarily Rob-bait but it took me back to a VV Brown kinda vibe.And well done to Addy too on another huge hit! Happy to have correctly predicted the top 2… the less said about the accuracy of the rest, the better I think 😂I predicted myself 29th though and got… 30th! Quite a fall from my run of top 10s but I weirdly quite enjoyed the lack of tension I felt for myself and could just enjoy the results for the contenders I was rooting for! Intrigued to see how close this song was to being the ~end but no regrets, still really love the song and happy to see a few of you recognised it as the banger it truly is ❤️Thank you for your hosting Harve, and for managing to squeeze it into your schedule and being great with the delays that were thrown your way.
