SF2 was a wild one to follow. Sarah Kinsley being debated as a potential runway winner when Scotland 2 finished above her was giggle worthy honestly

Uhsting was one of the first nations to vote, so Aeroche had a 12 and was sitting really comfortably in the top ten, and then every vote from there just pushed them further and further down. I did not see 21st coming. Hendinia was another shocking one (to me) because the climb into the top 20 genuinely never happened, I think the highest at one point was 21st.

SF1 was pretty amazing to see unfold as Herbilore were 1st for most of it

Well done Freeze! I’m going to revisit the song as it’s the first winner we haven’t voted for, but we had considered it for points and it was very close. Oof at our bronze missing out by 1 point but still happy that we got a different and interesting winner.

I sort of suspected that “Alien Observer” might be a boom or bust kind of entry and so it proved with 9 scores from 12-18 and only 5 other votes (plus the honorary Pegasa 7, which would have put us in the top 30 gah). To have qualified and given 9 countries that much enjoyment is still lovely though. And we know Persephonia and Trifoski 18s don’t come lightly so wow at those!

Congrats Freeze! 😁 I will re-listen to your winner today. Will also listen to my opposite semi's DNQs for the first time and probably post which one was my favourite.

I voted for exactly half of the top 10 which is not too shabby ❤️ 27th for Thoom is okay I guess, although I thought it would do better. I'll finish off the year with my second Estonian-language entry.

Oop at N DNTN giving us 8 in the semi and then nothing in the final (if I remember correctly), but it can happen! All the songs from my semi votes that were in the final got points from me in the final apart from Mothertopia which was my 1 point in the semi.

Those semi 2 DNQs were fairly good for me collectively 😯 I didn't really like Aeroche or A-Konohagakure (sorry!) but everything else was pretty good. My favourite was Dalisska (which I already listened to once during the semis), followed by Jadakissnia, Cheiron and Lentyll, in that order. These are based on just one listen but Cheiron sounds like it could grow on me more (in fact now I'm already re-listening to it 😀). Trifoski was kinda cute too.

I had to listen to the winner again as honestly it passed me by! That and the two in the top 5 that I actually voted for (Terra + Nelio) I all predicted to come worse than 30th so yes Pav's random.org definitely beat mine which I completely whiffed!

My own entry also whiffed. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but was hoping for around mid table and perhaps points coming from a wider pool of voters. Still I'll count myself lucky for actually qualifying after the same artist had a very undeserved DNQ many years ago, and I'm grateful for the gold + two silvers. That makes for a change from a long run of exceeded expectations so all good!
