17 hours ago17 hr Congratulations Scaeroche!!I'm honestly shocked by this second place, even though I believed in my song myself and I think it deserves this second place! 🥲I'll keep coming to the listeningtroughs. 😂
17 hours ago17 hr Congratulations Leww ❤️ I gave Lingua Ignota a silver medal so most certainly approve of that winner, it was striking. Scaeroche are always on point tbh 👻The rest of my podium consisted of Skelëdan (that sound was catnip to me so yay for a strong result <3) and Corpse Lupus (hope this somewhat makes up for the main contest snub)!I'm delighted with 8th for Vollny 🖤 Halloween is my favourite spin-off but I'd say I've only tapped into the post-punk side of my taste once before, with In Letter Form (one of my 3rd placers), so it was fun to dip into that again and with a first non-English language Halloween pick at that.Thank you Callum for being a wonderful host! Your cheerleading for a Jadakillnia comeback was the cutest. Glad I could be useful as a Chet Beaver messenger lol x

17 hours ago17 hr Yessss - my 12 pointer winning, well done Leww some quick redemption following the main contest streak ender indeed. Actually the second time in a row Lingua Ignota has got my top points in the Halloween spinoffs lol, I do think this one sounded a bit more wide appealing than 'Woe To All (On The Day Of My Wrath)', though that did do a bit better than I remembered after a quick refresher of the last results anyway (was 6th).And well done to Nine for a new best result in a song contest on here, am sure a win will be around the corner for you but happy bridesmaid coronation until then! It was a good entry, was 17th for me so just short of being mentioned as a commiseration.Phew for Cow that he wasn't costing himself a win (but very close!), a little surprised to see Weird Genius doing that well but I guess it was quite a memorable choice as well.Always fun to see a novel vote reveal concept, until it got going a bit more it did leave the thread with not a whole lot to comment on but interesting nonetheless! Thanks for the hostings @calxyum<3 I trust you will still be dumping the voting PMs now yes 👀 xx as I did a little write-up about my own song and would like to see the rest of the votes if anyone else did commentary and whatnot as ever ~Have dug through the past Halloween results (as my abandoned national thread is not up to date, still need to make a new one one of these days x) and I see this is my second best result in a Halloween spinoff to date, only behind my first one (SEXWITCH - Kassidat El Hakka coming 4th, which is still probably my favourite of my 6 Halloween entries so fair)! My run to date is 4-19-25-8-20-7 with Suede - Shadow Self providing my other previous top 10. I'd forgotten that I sent quite mainstream artists to each of the first 4 (SEXWITCH was effectively Bat For Lashes, then I sent Denzel Curry/JPEGMAFIA (and ZillaKami), The Smashing Pumpkins and Suede) but dug a lot deeper with the last two (Viuda who I sent to the last one have 2.2k monthly listeners on Spotify and YC-CY have just 125 so feels very rewarding for them to be giving me one of my best results!)
17 hours ago17 hr Congrats Leww 👏 listening to your entry the first time was the most unsettled I'd been through the whole thing! I gave it 2 points in the end, so the runner-up in my votes is the runner-up overall, well done Nine on a podium finish!Another top score from Scene 🖤 thank you so much, and for the other points Whoddy, Till, AllStar (first points received in any BJSC contest!), Wardy and Meekul (I think) - from 1st in my last spin-off to 31st is not something I'll repeat in a hurry.Thank you Callum for hosting and goodnight! 👻
16 hours ago16 hr Congrats Leww + thanks for the great hosting Callum, amazing theme! In the end, my revised votes didn't make a difference - Ennightmare got 2 points less, but luckily they didn't need these points for the great result! These are my revised votes, after a proper consideration on Friday 😅12 (--) Konoha | Weird Genius (feat. 16 hours ago16 hr Congratulations Leww, your song was 2nd in my vote so I'm very pleased to see it win and well done to Nine finishing 2nd.Thanks Callum for hosting and coming up with the concept. Thanks to all those who gave points to Thomas Dolby, especially Julian for the 12.
16 hours ago16 hr 6 minutes ago, vampavi said:*I hope spin offs count :’)You can count them yourself if you want xo (but have you not possibly come 4th in a spinoff before?)Interpreting what I can from the spreadsheet in the absence of the votes being posted for now... if I've got it right then thanks muchly to @Chez VampireBat, @leww and @DaTilthulhu for the gold medals (don't think it's too often I get as many as 3 top scores in any contest! has been nearly 3 years since the last time I did it in the main BJSC at least (Maruja in BJSC 160)), @Ghostly WAPS and @vampavi for the silvers, @Ghoulian for the bronze and @matto, @Jadaver, @Dobbo, @calxyum, @blacksquare and @jimwatts for the rest of the points! And if I've got any of those wrong then I retract my thanks and send curses instead xxedit: have just remembered I did get 3 top scores recently for Trance To The Sun in Bop Idol as well so not been that long but still xedit 2: also somehow only just clocked like an hour later that I did a 12 swap with Leww *.*
16 hours ago16 hr Congrats Leww! Very pleased with that winner, it was incredibly unsettling and experimental much like her last entry here, I really must check out that album at some point. That's a fantastic top 10 as well, I voted for all but two of them and one was a commiseration! Pleased that even though I only got 7 votes, they were all big fans. Thanks for hosting Callum, was a great spin-off as always and a very creative reveal.
16 hours ago16 hr Oops neither of those were in my votes but Ennightmare was a commiseration for me at least. Congrats to Leww on the win though!Zanmatomb was my 12 and am pleased it was a top 10 finish for Wardy. Great to see Darkrad in 15th too as was my 10 pointer. Not great for my 3rd place in Addy's entry though.Am content with 14th. I did consider that one before I sent 'Christmas Mourning' back to the Halloween contest in 2021 (I think there was one that year too though not sure). I first came across this particular track of theirs when my sister was blaring it in the car once lol (2013).Elsewhere pleased to see FSR Hauntvia and the host POPHex do really well as well.My full votes +12 Zanmatomb | MYSTERIOUS ART - Das Omen+10 Zombiera Continuum | Darkrad - Abnormal Love+08 Ghøstanikkä | Space Frog - X-Ray (Follow Me) (feat.
