Please god Kylie remains top 30 and Olly Murs is number 1 when we see the albums.
YES EMELI (as I seem to be her only fan here)

I like the album, it's the overexposure that is ridiculous. I am actually surprised that she "only" sold 1.1 million copies. Even in this sales climate she should be past 2 million after iTunes festival, V festival, Olympics opening, closing (twice), X factor (twice, including finale) and on and on...

PSY still at #9 - probably set for a climb this week then! He's really coming for Gotye's top 10 run.

Not much going on in the albums as ever but yay for Mumford & Sons climbing and The Lumineers re-entering the top 40.

Calvin Harris still holding up brilliantly with the high album sales! Next year we'll probably see a rap album (Eminem aside) doing great over Christmas! Great to see Girls Aloud climbing 10 places; their ITV show has done wonders!

Awful lot of albums which will inevitably drop in the New Year!

HA... there isn't any new albums inside the 40, MW will have a field day with the sales come Sunday/Monday next week.

So happy The Justice Collective are now number 1. It's a far better cover version than James Arthur's.

A big yay for £1 Fish Man! :yahoo:

Queen Kelly at #20 ! Hopefully sales of 25k+ :D

It will be much higher than that! Maybe even 35k+

Great that she's doing quite well sales wise after a poor debut. Is there any other new songs on the album which could be released as single to keep the album selling next year?

Thumbs up for Kylie @ number 28, and Girls Aloud up 10 places @22, lets hope they climb or remain static for the remainder of the week. Now Olly @number 2 is great as it means another very high selling week but i really wanted him number 1. I really did not expect anyone other than Olly or Buble to be sitting at the top. The question now is which we probably wont find out is are the sales very close or has Emeli Sande it wrapped up. I dont dislike Emeli, instead i have grown tired off her as she is just bloody everywhere.

James losing the number 1 position, i am not fully convinced this race is over just yet, as 3,500 isnt a lot, hopefully he can pull it in and steal back the pole position. Its all to play to play so let battle continue.

Who would have thought Emeli Sande would get the Xmas album #1, I didn't even see that coming, anyhow

At this mid-way stage, the combined sales tally of the Top 5 albums exceeds a cool quarter of a million sales. The Official Charts Company expects that to increase further still as thousands of UK shoppers head out in force to choose music as their preferred gifts this Christmas week.
Physicals must be huge for TJC and I'm guessing a huge bulk of their sales will be from the North, Alex Day holding up well - Must be selling well with physicals too, Had a few over his fans/loons in today at work multi buying the single and confidently telling me that 'He has a very good chance of being #1' they was not impressed when my response was
Also while I'm here, please note the footnote on page 1, post 1, regarding next week's mid updates. Furthernote from the chart mod team we wish you a Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you also.

£1 Fish Man should be at #1 instead of #38

Yes, it's a right PITA trying to estimate sales if we have very little info. :(

Yes! Girls Aloud up 10 places in album chart and Something New up 9!

idg all the Emeli hate if that was your fave you wouldn`t shut up about it tbh
Well of course they wouldn't. Because they like their faves. They don't like Emeli. Understand now?
