10 years since 'I Believe In a Thing Called Love' nearly got to #1. It's an unpopular opinion, but 'Permission to Land' is one of the better albums of the 00s.

The Darkness are seen as a bit of a joke now, but that first album was very good and IBIATCL deserved no.1, but then so did White Flag :(

Shame Safe and Sound is not fulfilling my expectations (and goes top 10) :(

Love Magic Fly. I'm surprised it isn't seen as a classic, it was one of the biggest sellers of that year. Incidentally, I'd wager that Daft Punk got more than a few ideas from the song's music video:

 

As a kid, I always used to get "Magic Fly" and Jean-Michel Jarre's "Oxygene" mixed up and had to remember which was which by "Magic Fly" having 8 notes in it's main riff (or whatever the synthesizer equivalent is) and "Oxygene" only having 5.
