October 6, 201312 yr Author Understand, wanted to know if this position had itunes possibilities into the top 40 today, next week or just that it can happen. ^_^ Depends on many factors but unsurprisingly a song normally needs to be top 40 for the majority of the week to be in contention for the top 40 but sometimes a late release with a popular track could sneak in. In short it will need to rise considerably to feature here.

October 6, 201312 yr The Vamps to hit #1 for the lolz please (and because Counting Stars is overrated). Also hope that Ylvis has somehow made the top 40, would be funny to hear that on the radio. 2012 1- DIAMONDS- Rihanna (105,953) Stunning record, hopefully her first single from album #8 matches the standard of this 2- GANGNAM STYLE- PSY (87,430) So close between this and 1D :o Glad that this just beat it though. And Adele debuting at #4 on 84k, it's not often when you see that happen! Not a fan of Skyfall though 5- ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN- Ellie Goulding (49,680) EEE EEE EEE EEE etc. 7- I CRY- Flo Rida (34,231) 8- SHE WOLF (FALLING TO PIECES)- David Guetta Ft Sia (31,158) 9- TURN AROUND- Conor Maynard/ Ne-Yo (30,611) 10- WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER- Taylor Swift (30,306) 2008 1- SO WHAT- Pink (53,264) 2- SEX ON FIRE- Kings Of Leon (37,603) 4- GIRLS- Sugababes (23,697) 6- DISTURBIA- Rihanna (20,900)* 7- I KISSED A GIRL- Katy Perry (20,700)* 8- WHEN I GROW UP- Pussycat Dolls (19,800)* 9- IN THIS CITY- Iglu & Hartley (19,200)* Not familiar with the Oasis song at #3, I assume it's not worth listening to though.(?) 2003 1- WHERE IS THE LOVE?- Black Eyed Peas (65,000) 2- SWEET DREAMS MY LA EX- Rachel Stevens (37,000) 3- I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE- The Darkness (31,000) 5- WHITE FLAG- Dido (24,000)* 6- SUPERSTAR- Jamelia (22,000)* 9- RUBBERNECKIN- Elvis Presley (14,000)* 1998 3- PERFECT 10- Beautiful South (64,000) 9- MILLENNIUM- Robbie Williams (38,000)*

October 6, 201312 yr OneRepublic and Haim for #1 plz (although naturally it'll be The Vamps and JT :/) Same here. I musn't get my hopes up too much but I think they may both just do it... Come on Haim
October 6, 201312 yr There'll be two JT albums charting this week, right? Not three? Two new entries ('2 Of 2' and 'The Complete Experience') and the first one might have hung on (it was #40 in the Weds mids). None of them are combined with each other.
October 6, 201312 yr Two new entries ('2 Of 2' and 'The Complete Experience') and the first one might have hung on (it was #40 in the Weds mids). None of them are combined with each other. Thanks. So this will be different to Gaga's "The Fame" era then.
October 6, 201312 yr Thanks. So this will be different to Gaga's "The Fame" era then. 'The Fame' was treated as 1 album because the new songs weren't released separately. '2 Of 2' is a completely different album to the first one and 'The Complete Experience' is being treated as a double album (or a 2 album boxset if you want) rather than a 'deluxe' of the first album.
October 6, 201312 yr Random retro this week comes from 1969 Week Ending : 11/10/1969 1 (3) Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg - Je T'Aime...Moi Non Plus 2 (2) Bobbie Gentry - I'll Never Fall In Love Again 3 (1) Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising 4 (4) Johnny Cash - A Boy Named Sue 5 (9) Bob Dylan - Lay Lady Lay 6 (6) Oliver - Good Morning Starshine 7 (5) Bee Gees - Don't Forget To Remember 8 (7) Cliff Richard & Hank Marvin - Throw Done A Line 9 (8) Mama Cass - It's Getting Better 10 (14) Karen Young - Nobody's Child All the top 5 are well known songs, Number 1 was banned from mainstream radio play due to the "suggestive" groaning contained within, 2 was the big hit version of the popular Bacharach & David song from the musical "Promises, Promises" (and most recently in the top 5 for Deacon Blue as part of their Bachrach/David EP, god was that really 13 years ago?), and 3 ,4 & 5 are still staples of "oldies" radio all these years later. Least said about 6-10 the better though!
October 6, 201312 yr Gosh this is so difficult :D Although The Fame Monster was available as a separate EP (at least digitally) but that was probably counted as EP. Edited October 6, 201312 yr by SKOB
October 6, 201312 yr If Two Door Cinema Club make the top 40, it could potentially be the first time that someone from Donaghadee has made the top 40 (contrary to "popular" belief, only two members of TDCC are from Bangor, the other is from D'dee). Didn't we have a luvverly time the day we went to Bangor...
October 6, 201312 yr My retro faves: 2012 4- SKYFALL- Adele (84,010) 6- HALL OF FAME- The Script Ft Will.i.am (41,822) 8- SHE WOLF (FALLING TO PIECES)- David Guetta Ft Sia (31,158) Should've gone top 3! :( 2008 3- THE SHOCK OF THE LIGHTNING- Oasis (32,119) 6- DISTURBIA- Rihanna (20,900)* 7- I KISSED A GIRL- Katy Perry (20,700)* 8- WHEN I GROW UP- Pussycat Dolls (19,800)* 2003 1- WHERE IS THE LOVE?- Black Eyed Peas (65,000) 2- SWEET DREAMS MY LA EX- Rachel Stevens (37,000) 4- SUNDOWN- S Club Juniors (24,000) -> My and my best friend at the time were obsessed with this song and came up with dance routines... 5- WHITE FLAG- Dido (24,000)* 6- SUPERSTAR- Jamelia (22,000)* 1998 4- I DON’T WANT TO MISS A THING- Aerosmith (52,357) 9- MILLENNIUM- Robbie Williams (38,000)* Edited October 6, 201312 yr by Jade
October 6, 201312 yr Anyone knows what happens to Katy Perry - Walking On Air? It hasn't appeared in the mids at all and looks like it won't enter the chart? Is it disqualified?
