Biography

Jasmine Thompson is a 12-year-old singer/songwriter from London. She plays the piano and guitar, and dances. Jasmine’s crystal clear, haunting vocals have led to early support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Perez Hilton, Jacksgap and The Best Of YouTube. Jasmine’s recent covers on YouTube have also caught the attention of artists such as Naughty Boy and Passenger. Her first radio play was in August 2013 on Edith Bowman’s Radio 1 Review Show in which Jasmine won the weekly national online vote “This is my Jam”.

Did 'Handshake' by Two Door not chart at all? :o I actually prefer it to their latest offering.

Thermo's possible explanation for 'Walking On Air' not appearing makes sense actually. The OCC allowed album pre-order tracks to chart after Bowie but Katy has 2 of them now so maybe they are only allowing one of them.

 

With Jasmine showing up Katy is definitely not in anyway. This isn't a bad cover. Sounds quite inspired by Delilah's 'Go' (that was such an immense song :wub:)

So Lucy Spraggan is a re-entry and no Katy Perry :-/

Two Door Cinema Club finally getting their first top 40 hit. Ridiculous that none of their previous singles made it, they're so consistently great. This one is growing quickly too although I still prefer most of their previous songs.

^ Definitely agreed re: their previous singles, What You Know and Something Good Can Work = the top 40 smashers that never were :(

 

She's got a good voice, although that doesn't stop Ain't Nobody from being one of my least favourite songs.

I know it wasn't her song, but I associate this with Go by Delilah (and I'm not alone clearly!) and am saddened how that never seemed to take off properly :( This is an OK cover, I don't really like the way she says 'nobody'.
