December 15, 201312 yr 'Thunder' is continuing to be OKAY. Would still like it to miss the top 10 though. Glad it at least has a higher peak than 'Sexy Lady' though I assume she's gonna release that as a single and it'll probably do better than 'Thunder' :( Woop at The Pogues at least not dropping. Probably gonna be #16 again but I was kinda expecting them to be ~#19. (Yay at 'Move' continuing to hold up also).
December 15, 201312 yr I can tolerate the 8 seconds that sound slightly like Filthy/Gorgeous, but apart from that this Little Mix song is not very good.
December 15, 201312 yr 'Thunder' for top 10 next week please  [/late] Not loving 'Move' as much lately. Capital keep whoring it out like there's no tomorrow.
December 15, 201312 yr Is this going to be their 2nd-biggest seller? I'm not sure how much "Cannonball" has sold.
December 15, 201312 yr I can tolerate the 8 seconds that sound slightly like Filthy/Gorgeous, but apart from that this Little Mix song is not very good. Is this not literally verbatim what you wrote last week?
December 15, 201312 yr 16  (from 15) Rebecca Ferguson - I Hope [D] http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Features/v4/0d/25/da/0d25da31-f26c-de48-1a08-45c12cab8aed/dj.ccbohlkl.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 15-16 [2 wks] Release date: 29-11-2013 Format: digital single Label: RCA Records Label Sales: 10k+ Video here: pUUU5LSbYHA download track listing 1 I Hope (Radio Edit) 2 I Hope (Live at Air Studios) Biography Liverpool-based legal secretary turned sensation Rebecca Ferguson is best known for being the runner-up in the British televised singing competition The X Factor, the first woman to reach that level in the show’s then seven-year run. Having been singing and writing songs since her childhood, Ferguson’s first reach for the spotlight was in 2004, when she first auditioned for The X Factor but was thwarted by shyness and lack of confidence. By 2010 she was ready for another try, this time impressing X Factor judges with her smoky, poignant voice and diverse song selections enough to land a spot on the show that year, where she wowed Nicole Sherzinger with her rendition of a Corinne Bailey Rae song at boot camp and reached the finals to duet with her idol, Christina Aguilera. Though she fell short to competitor Matt Cardle, Ferguson was signed to Cowell/Sony Music Entertainment venture Syco and began working on her debut record as 2011 began. The single "Nothing's Real But Love" reached the British Top Ten, and her album Heaven hit number three, and charted well throughout much of Europe. She announced a mammoth U.K.-headline tour at the beginning of 2012, which sold-out despite a handful of extra dates being added. A deluxe version of Heaven appeared in October, along with her fourth single. "Backtrack." which she performed on the 2012 installment of The X-Factor. In early 2013, Ferguson embarked on her first tour of the U.S. before beginning work on her second release, Freedom. She started immediately on the record after she returned to the U.K. She teamed up with songwriter Eg White (Adele, Duffy, Joss Stone) to pen a collection of material and the album was expected for release toward the end of 2013. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2011 10 Nothing's Real But Love -1- 2012 15 Backtrack -2- 2013 15 I Hope -1-
December 15, 201312 yr Never made the comparison, but you're completely right! :o Thankfully Katy has X Factor tonight, but I think the best she can hope for is about #14! (maybe briefly top 10 on iTunes!) And still nowhere near as big as the hype made it out to be (much like that 'Look Right Through' song - both seem bigger than their chart sales and positions suggest!) I think both were held back for far too long!
December 15, 201312 yr The annoying repetitiveness of this song kills any chance of me liking it.
December 15, 201312 yr Is this not literally verbatim what you wrote last week? Plagiarism saves thinking time. Self-plagiarism even more so. That's also the mantra of Status Quo.
December 15, 201312 yr Oh The Pogues have held onto the top 15! V surprised at that. Expecting a drop next week unless they start seriously picking up a bit on iTunes though.
December 15, 201312 yr I hope this song holding up so well this week is a sign that it might have decent longevity, rather than just holding up by default due to low sales. It really is a grower, her X Factor performance really didn't do it justice.
December 15, 201312 yr 'I Hope' deserves to do so much better :( To be fair, it is doing much better than I ever expected. It might be the first song of hers to actually have some form of longevity too!

The band reached international prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. MacGowan left the band in 1991 due to drinking problems but the band continued first with Joe Strummer and then with Spider Stacy on vocals before breaking up in 1996. The band reformed in late 2001, and has been playing regularly ever since, most notably on the US East Coast around St Patrick's Day and across the UK and Ireland every December. The group has yet to record any new music and, according to Spider Stacy on Pogues.com, has no inclination to do so. Their politically tinged music was informed by MacGowan and Stacy's punk backgrounds, yet used traditional Irish instruments such as the tin whistle, cittern, mandolin and accordion. The Pogues were founded in Kings Cross, a district of Central London, in 1982 as Pogue Mahone—pogue mahone being the anglicisation of the Irish póg mo thóin, meaning "kiss my arse". - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): The Pogues 1985 72 Pair Of Brown Eyes -1- 1985 51 Sally Maclannane -2- 1985 62 Dirty Old Town -3- 1986 29 Poguetry In Motion -EP- 1986 42 Hunted -OST- 1987 08 The Irish Rover (The Pogues & The Dubliners) -NAS- 1987 02 Fairytale Of New York (The Pogues Feat.
