Ahh no at Niceland and FSR both being so close. We were very close to the threshold of entries that would have given us 20 qualifiers per semi as well, boo! (Although of course having those couple of extra songs would have changed the calculus a little).

 

Not surprised that Cadelicia would have been a qualifier, I thought they had some chance of qualifying with a deduction too. Still an oops.

 

Buzzjack Mountain very nearly joins the list of potential nul pointers saved by just one voter. It is 2 voters in this instance but one of those was only 1 point. (Deserved better but not exactly surprising to see it doing so poorly)

Those were high points to Q in Semi 1! bloodbath.

Only just noticed Summericia getting as few as 16 points, oops! Unusually poor for a witch house entry (I did think this wasn't as much of a standout as the genre usually is but I still thought it was good, would have thought it'd do a little better than that).

Only just noticed Summericia getting as few as 16 points, oops! Unusually poor for a witch house entry (I did think this wasn't as much of a standout as the genre usually is but I still thought it was good, would have thought it'd do a little better than that).

I imagine it would've got quite a few trickle points (it came close to getting points from me) but I don't see who would be wanting to give it 12 or 10.

God I'm so relieved to get through, I'd convinced myself I'd be out and with such a strong entry, didn't bear thinking about. Thank you who were kind enough to help there.

 

I'm very pleased at an unusually good month for the East Asian entries (though they were high quality even without my bias so I'm not surprised, just Daehun is the sort of thing that I'd never expect to qualify so I'm very pleased at that.

 

Did lose half of my votes though, I figured Buzzjack Mountain was down and out anyway, even though I didn't call a one-pointer if not for me, but I'd have liked Trifoski to do a lot better.

I lost my 6 and 5-pointers (Tartford and Cadelicia) from my votes, it still felt like a bloodbath though! I really thought Semi 2 was a good draw for me but clearly not even close :( Pleased to see some Brade validation at least *.

Ooooh yay I made it through!!

Oh yay! I really wasn’t expecting to qualify so that’s a real surprise. Guessing it could be the lucky duck as the other similar entries (ie guitars) are pretty much all out :(

 

Also more of my higher votes came through after all so it all ended up okay.

Omg I went to bed right before CYNEMA qualified. I thought it was heading to the bottom as there was no hype at all. 🙃

Re Cashier No.9 I'm not sure why Suedey didn't send in the music video as the link for the song, it was a pretty good video and I don't think I'd have been as into the song without it! (Not that it'd be likely to make the difference between it being so low down the semi).

Hi all!

 

So me being a DIDDY has accidentally missed off some points for a country that should have qualified. SO to rectify this, we're going to take the missing song from Semi 1, plus the 19th song from semi 2, and they're now going to qualify.
