October 7, 20204 yr Iyaz might not technically count but he definitely should be thought of as a two hit wonder. Replay and Solo being the hits and So Big and The Mack barely registering on the charts.

October 7, 20204 yr Both of Chris Malinchak's top 40 hits are brilliant and he still makes good music now, would be great to see him make a return to the chart one of these days.
October 7, 20204 yr Honey Ryder had a week in the Top 40 with each of their two hits in 2008 / 2009 (including a huge fave of mine, Fly Away), and no other weeks in the Top 100.
October 7, 20204 yr Tony Di Bart Nicki French (an unusual case as it took her 6 years to get another top 40 hit after her Total Eclipse Of The Heart cover) Jan Wayne (also a two hit wonder with one of them being a Total Eclipse Of The Heart cover) Both of Chris Malinchak's top 40 hits are brilliant and he still makes good music now, would be great to see him make a return to the chart one of these days. I remember reading as a guest on the itunes thread here back then that the opinion on here was that 'So Good To Me' would have made #1 if it hadn't of been held back for so long. 'So Good To Me' bored me but 'If U Got It' I really liked. I also much preferred 'Dance With Me' to 'COOL' by Le Youth. And speaking of 'Dance With Me', Dominique Young Unique the featured artist on that track is also a two hit wonder in the UK too, so not quite the 'one hit wonder, b*tch' that she rapped about in her other hit 'Earthquake'! October 7, 20204 yr Shanks & Bigfoot wasn't mentioned yet too I think. After marvelous Sweet Like Chocolate, Sing-a-long reached #11?
October 7, 20204 yr Shanks & Bigfoot wasn't mentioned yet too I think. After marvelous Sweet Like Chocolate, Sing-a-long reached #11? Though they were the same people as Doolally who had a hit (twice) with Straight From The Heart Staying with dance: Puretone - Addicted To Bass (2, 2002) and Stuck In A Groove (26, 2003) The Avalanches - Since I left You (16) and Frontier Psychiatrist (18, both 2001) And a few others I remembered (or spotted just now) - some admittedly not very big hits. Them - Baby Please Don't Go (10) and Here Comes The Night (2, both 1965) [Van Morrison has had a small amount of solo success] Glenn Frey - The Heat is On (12) and Smuggler's Blues (22, both 1985) [also a member of The Eagles] theaudience - A Pessimist Is Never Disappointed (25) and I Know Enough (I Don't Get Enough) (22, both 1998) [sophie Ellis Bextor obviously had substantial solo success] The Rasmus - In The Shadows (3) and Guilty (15, both 2004) The Electric Soft Parade - Silent To The Dark II (23) and Empty At The End/This Given Line (39, both in 2002) Eddi Reader - Patience Of Angels (33, 1994) and Town Without Pity (26, 1996) Fat Larry's Band - Center City (31, 1977) and Zoom (2, 1982) City High - What Would You Do? (2, 2001) and Caramel (9, 2002) And just to prove that people from talent shows having two hits isn't a new thing: Marvin Rainwater - Whole Lotta Woman (1) and I Dig You Baby (19, both 1958)
October 8, 20204 yr Tiny Dancers had two minor Top 40 hits in 2007, including another of my faves of the time, I Will Wait For You We had a recent thread about acts who had one huge hit and another much smaller hit here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=230783 (I remembered contributing Mr Blobby haha)
October 8, 20204 yr And a few others I remembered (or spotted just now) - some admittedly not very big hits. Eddi Reader - Patience Of Angels (33, 1994) and Town Without Pity (26, 1996) Which makes her a double two-hit wonder following her hits with Fairground Attraction.
October 8, 20204 yr Which makes her a double two-hit wonder following her hits with Fairground Attraction. Wonder if Town Without Pity is the old Gene Pitney hit.
October 8, 20204 yr Wonder if Town Without Pity is the old Gene Pitney hit.It is. Gene's original is much better than Eddi's cover.
October 8, 20204 yr some big favourites of mine I just remembered as 2 hit wonders... BEN HOWARD Only love/9 Burgh Island EP/32 HOZIER Take me to church/2 Someone new/19 NERINA PALLOT Everybody's gone to war/14 Sophia/32 THE XX Islands/34 On Hold/34 AMY MCDONALD Mr Rock'n'roll/12 This is the life/28
October 8, 20204 yr Though they were the same people as Doolally who had a hit (twice) with Straight From The Heart Staying with dance: IIO's Rapture (#2) and At The End (#20) Eiffel 65 - Blue (#1) and Move Your Body (#3) Kristian Leontiou <3 Story Of My Life (#9) and Shining (#13)
October 8, 20204 yr Peter Sarstedt reached #1 with Where Do You Go To My Lovely and #10 with Frozen Orange Juice but had no other hits. In fact, the 3 Sarstedt brothers (Eden Kane, Peter Sarstedt, and Robin Sarstedt) between them had 8 top 10 hits and no other top 50 (as the chart was then) hits!
October 8, 20204 yr I believe September is missing from that list too! {2008, #5} Cry For You {2009, #14} Can't Get Over Don't think she had any other hits. Right there with fellow scandinavian pop queens Medina & Agnes <3 “Satellites” made #96 in 2006.
October 19, 20204 yr Emma's Imagination, from Must Be The Music just over 10 years ago, had two flash-in-the-pan top 10s with 'This Day' and 'Focus' and nothing else.
