Adele is more likely than Rihanna I think but both are well overdue.

 

Billie, Ariana, 24kGLDN will continue to have a great year and I'd like Paolo Nutini to return even if he is past the days of getting close to top 40 again.

I'll bet that Ariana will release another album before either of them.

I agree that this should be another good year for Ariana - with '34+35' re-peaking in the top 3 somewhere and perhaps 'pov' becoming a top 5 hit too with a proper push. She stuck to a 3 single run for both 'sweetener' and 'thank u, next' so I won't be surprised if she stops at that again.

To answer my own questions:

I think we will get an Adele album in Q4 next year (we would've this year if it weren't for that pesky covid) but Rihanna probably not sadly.

I've read theories that Taylor has been hinting at a 3rd surprise album too so I think that'll probably be happening to complete a trilogy of folky albums.

Blinding Lights will probably stay in the chart all year. Christmas most likely won't get cancelled despite the mass takeover this year.

Rihanna could come back collaborating with Justin Bieber or someone else, hmm.... Ariana Grande.... Taylor Swift. :D :lol:

 

Hoping an Indie band will make a big comeback. I love to see more Indie music back in the singles chart realistically at #1

My predictions:

 

Ariana Grande's song about oral sex will be the 1st new #1 of 2021

 

Grime/UK hip hop music will continue to dominate the chart

 

Rihanna wont bring out a new album

 

The charts will become even harder to understand than it already is

 

The year end #1 for 2021 will be a song that is at the top of the weekly charts during February or March

 

Little Mix will retire/disband/go on hiatus completely
