Posted December 14, 20204 yr Is Tay Tay going to do a 3rd surprise album? Will Adele and Rihanna ever come back? Will the OCC cancel Christmas? Will Blinding Lights ever leave the chart? Who else do you predict to have a good year and who will flop? Gogogo 2020 Predictions analysis by Bré here.
December 14, 20204 yr Adele is more likely than Rihanna I think but both are well overdue. Billie, Ariana, 24kGLDN will continue to have a great year and I'd like Paolo Nutini to return even if he is past the days of getting close to top 40 again.
December 14, 20204 yr was just reading about Taylor's 3rd album apparently titled Woodvale :o sure Rihanna is coming in 2021 and Adele sure too
December 14, 20204 yr Kylie Minogue to have a top 40 single again Disco to return to number 1 with a remixed version on a quiet week
December 14, 20204 yr Adele is more likely than Rihanna I think but both are well overdue. I'll bet that Ariana will release another album before either of them.
December 14, 20204 yr I agree that this should be another good year for Ariana - with '34+35' re-peaking in the top 3 somewhere and perhaps 'pov' becoming a top 5 hit too with a proper push. She stuck to a 3 single run for both 'sweetener' and 'thank u, next' so I won't be surprised if she stops at that again. Manifesting a Lorde return in 2021 also
December 14, 20204 yr Author To answer my own questions: I think we will get an Adele album in Q4 next year (we would've this year if it weren't for that pesky covid) but Rihanna probably not sadly. I've read theories that Taylor has been hinting at a 3rd surprise album too so I think that'll probably be happening to complete a trilogy of folky albums. Blinding Lights will probably stay in the chart all year. Christmas most likely won't get cancelled despite the mass takeover this year.
December 14, 20204 yr Rihanna could come back collaborating with Justin Bieber or someone else, hmm.... Ariana Grande.... Taylor Swift. :D  Hoping an Indie band will make a big comeback. I love to see more Indie music back in the singles chart realistically at #1
December 14, 20204 yr Hopefully Arctic Monkeys will have a new album. They were supposed to be recording this year before covid hit :/
December 14, 20204 yr Rag’N’Bone Man to return with a new album and of course a couple of Top 40 singles. Joel Corry to release a single with Becky Hill as vocalist. Clean Bandit to get a #1 single once in the year with a big song. Calvin Harris to continue another few tracks on his Love Regenerator project. The 1975 to release a new #1 album.
December 14, 20204 yr New albums from Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Adele, The Killers (yes, one more). Rob S Claus, thank you! Yes, new Paolo Nutini's LP No tours. 14th Number 1 for RW. ABBA releases a single. Coldplay single for Olympics 2021. BRITs for Harry Styles Maybe Scissor Sisters'c comeback... Edited December 14, 20204 yr by Better Man
December 14, 20204 yr I hope Calvin returns to his dance floor bangers! He already has with his Love Regenerator project but none of them have become hits sadly.
December 14, 20204 yr My predictions: Ariana Grande's song about oral sex will be the 1st new #1 of 2021 Grime/UK hip hop music will continue to dominate the chart Rihanna wont bring out a new album The charts will become even harder to understand than it already is The year end #1 for 2021 will be a song that is at the top of the weekly charts during February or March Little Mix will retire/disband/go on hiatus completely It will be December 2021 when you read this after totally forgetting it ever existed! :D
December 14, 20204 yr He already has with his Love Regenerator project but none of them have become hits sadly. I didn’t find any of them of the same quality or commercial sound his huge 2019 hits had!
December 14, 20204 yr Just shooting completely in the dark here. A big current-ish name in the music business will die. Florence releases a new album. A country that hasn't won Eurovision before wins in 2021. Beyoncé releases a hit single. Adele releases her next album and it's a massive one yet again. The biggest selling song of the year will be one that was released in 2020. A random name that hasn't been heard from since the late 2000s or early 2010s will return with a massive hit. The Eurovision movie soundtrack wins the Grammy award it was nominated for. Edited December 14, 20204 yr by diva thin muffin
December 14, 20204 yr Another Eurovision song will go top 40 The Lathums and The Snuts' debut albums go to #1 before falling a bit (more likely The Snuts will get to the top) Michael Ball & Alfie Boe release another #1 album Yungblud gets another top 40 single Sam Fender gets a high selling #1 second album and a top 40 single Example will have a top 100 single N-Dubz will get back together with limited success JLS have a high selling comeback album and a top 20 single
