Posted February 3, 20214 yr 84diFZMam-8 "ROLL BACk THE TAPE" *rolls back to what Tamisha said* I'm deceased lmao this shady editing  Utica spilled the tea too, Kandy preaches honesty and will quite happily give it but cannot take it at all, and girl if she wants honesty she's not getting the HALF of it just yet.
February 3, 20214 yr That editing! I'm glad the producers aren't completely supporting Kandy but omg give another girl some screentime! Like this is a big deal, but they keep pushing the Kandy-Joey non-existant romance and then her friendships with Tina and Gottmik. It's just so MUCH. I feel like we've hardly seen the likes of Olivia and Denali recently! Interesting to do pairs with the US show for this challenge! It seems to be mirroring a lot of what they did on UK Drag Race at the moment!
February 3, 20214 yr Author I think bc she's known from the Haus Of Aja and seemed to have a fair sized fanbase prior to the show, they banked on her being a Vanjie type personality but no matter how hard they try, she's more of a Silky and it's gonna bring the show down if it carries on much longer. It feels like a few of the others don't get much screen time unless they win or place high/low in a challenge, because Olivia especially hasn't been there since the premiere I feel like we barely see her.
February 6, 20214 yr LOAD. OF. SHITE. Damn but this season is now giving me serious S11 flashbacks. Tina top 3 over Denali or Rosé? Gottmik safe after that crapper of a performance? Symone only safe with that gorgeous runway? Elliott high for no reason? What the hell? With Tamisha gone I now legit only have Denali & mayyybe Rosé to root for. On that note Rosé stop sabotaging yourself on the runways challenge??? What was that little brillo pad dress?? You have the taste & budget for much better!
February 6, 20214 yr That was the worst episode in a while... Though I am happy Olivia got a win. I am OVER the judges thinking the Queens should know the same references as them. I wish one day someone would snap back and start quizzing them on Post-Millennial references.
February 6, 20214 yr LOAD. OF. SHITE. I have the exact same feelings.. The judges made some very strange decisions. Rose and Denali were EASILY the best duo during the challenge, basically the only duo with real chemistry and both very fantastic. Fair enough, I wasn't the biggest fan of Rose's outfit during the runway, but she should have been in the top. Elliott in the top three? Okay.. And Tina as well, AGAIN in that orange/yellow outfit. Such a bore. Shocked Utica was in the bottom, what were they on about her runway look? It was sen-sa-tional. And very surprised Gottmik was safe, who was not good at all during the challenge. And I also don't really enjoy her being part of the 'mean girls', it drags her down in my opinion. Olivia was a deserved winner though. She did very well and is such a joy to watch.
February 6, 20214 yr While I do think Tina was good in the challenge her runway was SO ugly- so would have placed her just safe. I think i’d have Olivia, Rose and Denali in the top 3 Gottmik should have been low instead of Utica but the bottom 2 was about right- as sad as it was to see Tamisha leave.
February 6, 20214 yr Yeah this was an absolute shit-fest of an episode. I swear to god if we see Tina Burner come out in a dress with those horrible 'trademark' colours on it again, I will freak. She may have performed well in the challenge, but it's the same thing on the runway time and time again. Yawn. Kandy Muse is quite possibly one of the worst queens I've ever seen on this show? Even worse than Silky. The faux-drama at the beginning just because she wanted Joey Jay inside of her was vomit-inducing. Over the past week all of the drama she's created on Twitter, rallying her troops behind her and the show itself coming out in support and basically shaming anybody for disliking her... it's been awful. Her behaviour throughout that whole episode absolutely solidified exactly why people are justified and correct to be feeling the way they are about her. She's not likeable, her runways are average, and she's far from being the representation that she thinks she is. SO disappointed with the result of that lip-sync. Here's to more shit runways and her trying to be the loudest voice in the room though I guess? Denali and Rosé absolutely should have won the challenge, so I'm a bit dumbfounded at the judging there. Can't deny that Olivia was amazing too though, so I'm glad she's got a win behind her now too.
February 6, 20214 yr That disco challenge felt really bizarre to watch, like it would have been better if they lip synced too? Just seemed odd, like no one to me really stood out apart from Olivia but that was just because of a choice of a wig? Kandy Muse, Tina Burner and to an extent Gottmik I just can't get behind now, come across terribly. Kandy is insane.
February 6, 20214 yr Kandy and Tina really are insufferable. I’m hoping Gottmik distances herself from them soon, I think she’s got a lot more to show and I don’t want her dragged down to their level.
February 6, 20214 yr I actually really enjoyed the episode- didn’t find it weird at all- similar to the Alyssa-winning- ballet challenge in 5.
February 6, 20214 yr This was such a bad main challenge. They should've each had to create a disco verse or something. I actually agreed with the judging for the most part though. I thought Tina did really well and definitley outshone most of the other girls - her choice of dress was great for the challenge. I also liked her runway. I do think Rosé would've been top over Elliot if it wasn't for her runway - that was awful. Denali was a solid 5th for me. Rosé is growing on me a lot. I was honestly so gagged when Tamisha said she had a colostomy bag. It made so much sense now looking back at how she held back dancing-wise over the season so far. She did so well considering her circumstance. Sad to see her go, but I think it was the right time. I did love that in the VT she said she'll get fully healed up and working for All Stars. I bet she would kill a season of All Stars once she's fully healed up. I was slightly disappointed with Symone - I thought she would've done better. Her runway was one of my favourites though! LaLa Ri was ok. Kandy and Gotmik were both bad. I think Gotmik should've been in the bottom over Utica. Although I do understand what the judges are saying about Utica in regards to her constantly being goofy/silly all the time. Had she not been like that during the challenge and tried to channel disco a little more in her facial expressions she may have been safe. I did really enjoy Utica's runway though! I was so happy to see Olivia win the challenge! She did so well and her smile is just so radiant. I hope this is the first win of many to come for her!
February 6, 20214 yr I actually enjoyed the main challenge, but it really showed off how weak some of the cast are at performing. As much as I love Gottmik, she was awful and def should've been low, even bottom 2 perhaps. Rose and Denali being safe was a bit surprising, but I didn't like either of their runways, especially Rose's I'm getting tired of her weird tulle obsession. Amazing to see Olivia finally winning and receiving recognition. Utica's runway was appalling and coming off what she served last week was such a bad 180, although her concept was cute.
February 6, 20214 yr Watching this episode highlighted some key points: 1. Olivia was an absolute joy to watch in the challenge, she really deserved her win. I didn't love her dress on the runway but the hair was the real statement! 2. Rosé really needs to stop coming out in tulle every week... It is getting too repetitive and she is using the same 'dress with tulle up the side' look. 3. Gottmik has to distance herself from Kandy and Tina. I found her very unlikeable this week. 4. Kandy is awful. Her lip sync was shocking and she just lay on the floor? Yet she won?! Honestly, I can't imagine who is worse right now - her or Silky! 5. Lala Ri is just 'there'.
February 6, 20214 yr Author That was probably one of my least fave episodes ever? I felt a disconnect too as they weren't lipsyncing, it just made me think it ought to have been a proper Rusical, perhaps use say Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, Sylvester etc. and each queen has an artist as their section of the Rusical. The challenge ended up feeling really pointless and like a filler episode... I get that they have to do different types of challenges sometimes but I don't think there's anything wrong with the tried and tested ones, I'd rather have an extra design or acting challenge, or a Rusical, than this. I don't think the judging was TOO wild, Tina was great in the challenge to her credit and Olivia is just an absolute joy to watch and absolutely killed it. Elliott I felt was a bit random over Rosé/Denali though. That bottom 2 was SO set up though, neither of them were great but Gottmik was easily the worst in that challenge, Kandy didn't do great and Tamisha was definitely in her head but they kinda pushed through, Gottmik was the weakest for me. Especially when you consider what Tamisha had to overcome! I do get the criticism for Utica as the challenge was to embody disco and she kind of made a disconnect with her facial expressions that removed us from the disco "fantasy", but I actually found myself enjoying that she put herself into the performance as I was so bored, so a bit of that campy comedy felt needed in a way. I guess that's just down to preference, but Gottmik was easily worse for me either way. The actual lipsync was fine, Kandy was good in some ways but then she just led on the floor? That felt like she kind of didn't know the words and just did whatever to cover it up. I LOVE Tamisha and am so sad to see her go, but in a way it was about the right time, I just think Lala and Elliott should not still be there over her at LEAST. I actually warmed to Kandy a little bit this week, I don't think she's anywhere near as bad as say Silky. I still wouldn't say I *like* her and I don't think that much of her drag, however I think there is a human underneath all that bravado and the defensive walls she puts up, hidden very deep inside  I'm sure I'll revoke that feeling soon enough watch this space, but I think there's a difference between defensive and nasty. I'm seeing a LOT of people say she's worse than Silky but I wouldn't go that far at all, the current always feels like the worst I guess it's easy to go there and I often do the same! I do still think she is detracting from this series being a loud and prominent personality who isn't allowing others to come through though. It doesn't make her less unbearable but I understand where it comes from a bit. Have to agree about the mean girl clique in general though, I can't take to Tina although I like her drag (the campy comedy vibes, not the aesthetic!) and Gottmik is really being dragged down by them. She feels like Aquaria without the glow-up journey right now, perhaps if Tina and/or Kandy go soon, Gottmik will have a few weeks to shine alone. I'm really disappointed as she was a big pre-season fave for me but hasn't really delivered outside of a couple of great runways.
February 6, 20214 yr It was a strange episode and I didn't enjoy the task either. I don't think it gave the queens much of a chance to show off anything notable really. The judging was off too and I've agreed with most decisions so far this season otherwise. The right two were in the lip sync and Olivia was the correct winner but the other high/low queens were a complete mess. Rosé and Denali deserved more appreciation for their dance section undoubtedly and Denali should certainly have been top, and I think LaLa should have been too! Tina Burner did NOT deserve to be one of the top queens - she was good in the challenge and I understand the credit for that but her runway look was.... terrible, one of the worst of the week. Kandy's still yet to prove herself in any way, all of her looks are super messy. I don't like Gottmik associating herself with them at all, she comes across as so nice otherwise and the "mean girls" thing is putting me off her big time. The strangest thing for me though was the critique Utica's runway look got. I thought it was yet another incredible look! The judges enjoying it until they realised they didn't get what she was going for was a bit confusing for me - does that stop it looking phenomenal? I think Utica's become my favourite after this week

I didn't like anything about this episode — from the challenge, to the judging, to weird critiques — no ma'am. I don't even enjoy watching almost half of the cast at this point. February 6, 20214 yr So sad to see Tamisha go, she’s been a gem this entire season and will be massively missed. It was obvious though she wasn’t performing anywhere near 100% so it makes sense with what we found out in the season. Part of me wishes she’d waited a year or so and came in ready to kill but fingers crossed she can do that on an All Stars season. Was so impressed how she took time out to comfort Kandy as she was leaving, such a class act and hopefully Miss Congeniality. The challenge this week was weird, I felt like it was a good idea but was executed in a way it felt so hollow, especially with the girls segments being so short. The runway as well had a nice theme but I think the girls tried too hard to go out of the box and their looks suffered as a result. Performance wise, was obviously shocked at Denali and Rosé being safe though their runways were poor. Denali looked like an air hostess in black and the twist didn’t pan out how she intended. Rosé’s outfit was awful, made her look bulky and don’t she wear something unilateral a few weeks back? I wasn’t mad in her week 1 looks but can she go back to them please as her taste seems to be getting worse as we go on. If Gotmik doesn’t get away from the “Mean Girls” they’re going to drag her down fast see which is a shame as I was so excited by her at the start of the season. Her performance was weak and while I think her look had a good concept it just felt like her look last week, with even more boy body. I know drag is all encompassing but I just don’t get enough “drag” from her. Tina just feels like such a background character at this point, her only storylines are being a “mean girl” and liking fire. Her performance was decent, probably not high placement worthy and I absolutely hated her outfit, she’s overplayed that concept far too much and it needs to stop, that or she can just leave as I wouldn’t miss her. Kandy is just awful and should have gone home this week 100%. Weak in the performance, she executed that look poorly and yet again I wasn’t impressed by her lip syncing. She just comes across as deluded about her skills and extremely abrasive so hopefully her bottom 2 stint will shock some sense into her. Sadly though it will likely just boost her ego that she’s sent her only critic home and the winner circle is still in tact. Deserved winner in Olivia this week, she was the only person that killed both performance and runway. Enjoyed Elliott this week as well even with her dress being “simple.” Loved both Symone and Utica’s runways though sadly I don’t think the latter has much life left in the competition with will be a great loss. Also, LaLa Ri....basic.
