January 16, 20224 yr I think We Don't Talk About Bruno is the highest ever charting Disney movie song in UK chart history. I am currently making a list of all the charting Disney songs in the UK! Gareth Gates' 'Suspicious Minds' from Lilo & Stitch made #1 in 2002, though that's a soundtrack song rather than being *in* the film like WDTAB (but still a Disney movie song nonetheless)
January 16, 20224 yr Oh dear... if that Bruno thing becomes the official No.1 in the UK. Face. Meet. Palm.
January 16, 20224 yr I hope 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' can hang on at #1 although I expect GAYLE will probably overtake - iconic First Look #1 though *.* 'Peru' climbed from its First Look position both of the last two weeks so hopefully it should be safe to be top 5 if not top 3 this week? Pleased to see the big drop for 'Fingers Crossed', here's hoping it turns out to only be a fleeting hit.

January 16, 20224 yr I actually really like Fingers Crossed - expected it to hang around a bit. Bruno is #1 on Spotify today. Does that help its cause re staying at No1 officially ?
January 16, 20224 yr Bruno is #1 on Spotify today. Does that help its cause re staying at No1 officially ? I mean, it can't exactly hurt! :kink:
January 16, 20224 yr I wouldn't mind Bruno being #1 as it brings back good memories of Havana at #1 nearly 5 years ago, which the instrumental reminds me of.
January 16, 20224 yr I watched the film last night and heard this song for the first times its great! The whole film and music is fab
January 17, 20224 yr Kinda suprised the Belters aren't top 20 in first look considering their progress on all platforms over the weekend tbh. I'd imagine they will be by Friday though. *.* at Bruno being #1! Edited January 17, 20224 yr by Roba.
January 17, 20224 yr Bruno is #1 on Spotify but Gayle always has a 2nd song floating around the 200 position that does ca. 50K, so if you add that she's #1 on Spotfy Belters Only is lower on Amazon than Apple/Spotify, thats why it's not top 20 today but will be tomorrow
January 17, 20224 yr Bruno looking quite likely for #1 then but could be close. Rather hilarious. Well everyone wanted variety in the charts so you asked for this!!
January 17, 20224 yr I think it's great something different is looking to get to Number 1. You've all had enough to say about Ed Sheeran and Adele hogging the top spot, so it's a case of be careful of what you wish for if you don't like it  Edited January 17, 20224 yr by gavindeejay
January 17, 20224 yr Let's just be glad it's not chart manipulator Cheesy Fad back with another processed cheese slice!!
January 17, 20224 yr Hoping Gayle holds on for this week, purely because I’m not a fan of one week no1s. Prefer songs to hold onto the top spot for a couple weeks. Albums will be interesting this week, very low sales so anything could happen there.
January 17, 20224 yr Be nice to kick off the new year with two new acts at No.1 in consecutive weeks (well, following that Adele return anyway). What was the last Disney No.1?

Albums will be interesting this week, very low sales so anything could happen there. Well under the more transparent previous ACR rules, Gayle would have had 2 weeks at #1 by now, with Sam Fender reaching #2 and Glass Animals getting a new peak of #4, but I won't keep going on about that... I think it was Gareth Gates' 'Suspicious Minds' from the Lilo & Stitch soundtrack in 2002, possibly the only Disney #1? Wasn't that a B-side? It certainly wasn't a significant factor in it reaching #1.
