June 30, 20223 yr Harry only closing the gap on LF SYSTEM by around 100 sales since yesterdays update with them still over 2k sales ahead, surely enough for them to hold onto #2 now!
June 30, 20223 yr Eek Harry catching up on LF System. At least Porcupine Tree are secured #2 this week.
June 30, 20223 yr Crazy What Love Can Do, i wonder has it any chance of number 10 tomorrow, As it was was could over take afraid to feel but hopefully LF system can hold number 2, good to see George Ezra still holding up well in the albums,
June 30, 20223 yr Lf system have a hoid chance as its doing well on all sides, number 2 or 3 makes no difference to Harry this week plus he has the number 1 album in the bag.
June 30, 20223 yr Crazy What Love Can Do, i wonder has it any chance of number 10 tomorrow, As it was was could over take afraid to feel but hopefully LF system can hold number 2, good to see George Ezra still holding up well in the albums, Crazy what love can do and 21 reasons needs to go in the top 10
June 30, 20223 yr in the US every big hits charts for like 60 weeks minimum :D so I guess they're used to it :D I think it helps for them that they never had the super-fast charts that we had in the past (their charts WERE a lot faster for example the 80's but still nothing compared to ours where 10 weeks in the top 10 used to be incredible) and also that they don't have the "top 40 countdown on the radio each week" tradition and less media attention on the charts. Probably what I think might bother them more is that they regularly have entire albums charting, sometimes very high up the chart. Multiple times a month. It's probably a good thing for them because they rely on it to push the big hits into recurrancy, but we had 2 weeks of it with Ed Sheeran and it prompted a lot of complaints in the media and with the public and it resulted in a rule change.
June 30, 20223 yr If SGU was on SCR, it would be #16 today. Still showing up as being on ACR, not sure if this means his streams haven’t increased enough or it’s just not showing up yet? Guess we’ll find out tomorrow anyways
June 30, 20223 yr Amazon Music missing for Friday is a bit odd, but goes some way to explain why Joji has dropped since First Look as the Amazon data is normally 2 days at that point vs. 1 for other platforms, whereas this week they must have stayed even throughout the mids. LF System should hold onto #2 as well - 100 sales a day including the missing data won't tip the balance inHarry's favour.
June 30, 20223 yr A Thursday update? What is this? x Good to see Porcupine Tree seeming safe for #2 (they probably were since the first update but still). Yay for a small rise for Kendrick's album coming through from Glastonbury now. I expect it'll be out of the top 40 quite soon after this but the vinyl pre-order is finally up - along with cassettes which are actually UK exclusive - with a release date of 26th August so hopefully that can give the album one more week in the top 10 to match his longest top 10 run. Also hope Bru-C holds onto the top 40 this time, remains a guilty pleasure banger x Did 'Sticky' drop back behind 'Falling Back' in the Wednesday update or was it just omitted accidentally? If SGU was on SCR, it would be #16 today. Still showing up as being on ACR, not sure if this means his streams haven’t increased enough or it’s just not showing up yet? Guess we’ll find out tomorrow anyways These resets don't come through until the final chart I think ('Anyone For You (Tiger Lily)' wasn't in any of the midweek updates the week it got reset) so yeah it's a case of finding out tomorrow.
June 30, 20223 yr Did 'Sticky' drop back behind 'Falling Back' in the Wednesday update or was it just omitted accidentally? The former :magic:
June 30, 20223 yr Hope they don't grant SCR status for 'Seventeen', it'd be pointless as it would not reach a new peak and would go ACR in few weeks time. See also: George Ezra's 'Tiger Lily'. Edited June 30, 20223 yr by Sour Candy
June 30, 20223 yr It appears to be that SGU has comfortably got a >25% boost this week, so I'd expect a reset.
June 30, 20223 yr It's a shame because these boosts always take a place from a new track climbing into top 40. Especially now when all songs in top 40 had an increase last week, it would be very tough to go top 20 for a new track.
June 30, 20223 yr At least (Tiger Lily) - and Seventeen Going Under if it does indeed get a reset - will have had a meaningful boost which should wear off over a few weeks, meaning they have good chance of returning to ACR at the earliest opportunity. They won't have just been very slowly on their way down from #7 to #18 over 3 months or more.
June 30, 20223 yr If SGU was on SCR, it would be #16 today. Still showing up as being on ACR, not sure if this means his streams haven’t increased enough or it’s just not showing up yet? Guess we’ll find out tomorrow anyways Amazing boost - was expecting it to be around #25 at best, his socials have pushed the official Glastonbury video for the song which would have helped too
June 30, 20223 yr Thing is, when it first came out it wasn’t that big at all, it took till 2021 to begin to blow up even though it was released in 2020, I remember radio 1 first playlisting it before it got big and I heard it and liked it but never thought it would become this big, I also remember it featuring in the playlist of fifa 21 so hearing it constantly on there, all before it blew up. It was no1 on my PC on the months it was released so I must have heard the potential 😅
June 30, 20223 yr Hope they don't grant SCR status for 'Seventeen', it'd be pointless as it would not reach a new peak and would go ACR in few weeks time. See also: George Ezra's 'Tiger Lily'. It's not a matter of them 'granting' it, it'll be done automatically if it has the sufficient increase (which it apparently does, joy) I wouldn't hold your breath on it going back to ACR that soon given how unfit for purpose the 'three weeks of decline' rule has been of late.
