BBC saying not-at-all-cleverly is gonna take Home sec and replacing him is noted moonfaced cowardly c**t David Cameron
So is David Cameron becoming Foreign Secretary an indication that Suank wants to soften the Tories image as he's horrified by the Blue Wall voting figures. There's going to be civil war between them and the Far Right wing lead by Bravermann.

Sunak bringing back Cameron and showing no one in the current government is good enough to take on the front bench roles :D

I think Sunak bringing Cameron as Foreign Sec, probably indicates a full blown civil war incoming in the Tory Party. Cameron is hated by the right of the party and his parachute in to role probably speaks of Sunak and his team deciding to meet Labour with the more centrist approach with an upcoming GE in mind.

This is absolutely bonkers.

WTF?! Is moon faces country destroyer cowardly posh boy Cameron wven an mp anymore?!?

AND YASS!!! :cheer: :cheer:

Did he sack the fash, or dis she jump ship?

Definitely got a Tory civil war showdown comin, between Johnsom's Brexshit fash he replaced almost the entire party with, and the right wingers

Says a lot when you bring Cameron in to make you look more moderate!!

As I always say on days like this - don’t blame me I voted for chaos with Ed Miliband!!

When is the last time someone from the Lords held one of the four big offices of state?

It's perhaps the first good move from an electoral perspective, that Sunak has done as PM. It assumes that Cameron and his sort of sensible moderate running of the Tories kept their traditional base in the south onside and this can reassure them. Of course, that relies on them not blaming Cameron for whistling while the UK burned over Brexit but he may actually be the least electorally toxic Tory big name at the moment lol. And it's a nice spot for a former PM to take up to stop being bored, relatively little chance of blowback and as much as Cameron is not someone I like, he's at least not an idiot like the last few Foreign Secretaries have been, very good at this time with multiple crises going on.

Also worth remembering that Cameron recently criticised Sunak on dropping HS2, so it could signal a few big reversals just in time for a big 'we've changed' moment in the run up to the election. Whether the electorate will fall for it is another matter. Hopefully Braverman will cause trouble from the sidelines.

also Cleverly in as Home Sec which, while he's not competent, at least I don't get a sense of malice from him like I have the last few Home Secs, so a slight improvement?

Hurrah at Cruella being out, what an awful person, certainly not the end of her though and she is so clearly ready to pounce come election time if the defeat is as big as the polls are suggesting and bid for leadership to take the Tories further to the right. Honestly, it seems like she's pretty much been trying to get fired recently with these remarks so maybe this is her plan all along.

Cameron being back is...a choice for sure, albeit at least not a depressing one. Can see some fiery PMQ debates coming up!

You’ll see the right of the Party really step back now and get ready for a full populist movement if Labour wins. We’ll be in the process of having our ‘Trump’ style moment imo, which is really dangerous. No idea who they will put through as the figure head (Cruella, Truss, Johnson or someone else..) - but does seem like a moment where the right lurch for the Party and even more of the moderates are purged out. You know it says something when you’re hoping someone like Graham Brady is sticking up for true Conservative values to protect the likes of others taking over the party.

Going to be tough for Starmer if he gets elected, Labour are going to have to help turn things round pretty quickly otherwise I fear we’re going to be in for a terrible time.

Thank god Suella is out. I’m not sure there’s ever been a bigger combination of absolute evil and downright stupid in existence.

Love Cameron coming back as some sort of saviour as if he isn’t to blame for most of this mess.

The facr that a member of the Cabinet can be literally anyone and doesn't need to be an MP feels really strange.

Personally I quite like the idea. You can get in experts for each of the cabinet positions regardless of the pool of MPs you have to pick from. Although not that the current government has had people with the right qualifications or experience for their roles in quite some time now!

The sacking of Suella and the slight cabinet reshuffle definitely bodes for a softening of the party in the build up to the election most likely.

Speaking of which, I assume the next election will be in spring 2024 (so as not to clash with the US election?)? So not far to go...

You’d think he would wait until Oct 24 to let the new cabinet have a year to bed in but maybe wants to get back to seemingly normalcy with a May/June election.

I don’t favour sticking anyone into the lords and then putting them in cabinet. May as well just be rid of democracy altogether then!

Cameron being a lord makes me sick. He is the root cause of much of the country’s problems (along with Osbourne)

He should be in a prison cell, not f***ing ermine
