Ooh I waited a while for more of my points to drop out and two are gone in one fell swoop:

+13 David Bowie - Fashion (1980)

I think Gay Bar's been the highest one I've lost far, that's iconic *__ I also gave a few points to Country Girl, but not an unexpected loss.
Gay Bar is indeed great, albeit one I don't think I had room for. Eurythmics is a loss though, Thorn In My Side is one of my favourites of theirs

Barenaked Ladies - One Week

Duran Duran - Girls On Film

Fuse ODG - Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad)

Calvin Harris featuring Tinie Tempah - Drinking From The Bottle

Zara Larsson & MNEK - Never Forget You

Post Malone featuring Young Thug - Goodbyes

This was the third single to be released from Duran Duran's 1981 debut album and was their first top 10 hit. Zara Larsson makes her second appearance in two days. Calvin Harris is another artist with many hits but just one which peaked at number 5.

I’ve been losing votes left, right and centre - Thorn In My Side, One Week, Lay Lady Lay and Alone are just the most recent ones. Anything that actually survives will be a triumph!
Lots more great songs being lost in that batch, although Fuse ODG was my only loss. 'Gay Bar' is iconic, I have fond memories of drunkenly dancing to that in some indie club in Camden *.*
'Rap God', 'Get Get Down' and 'Thorn In My Side' possibly all songs that would have made my top 30 (albeit the latter being one I only recently learned the title of lol). Other good ones dropping out today include 'Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad)', 'Goodbyes', 'Shut Up And Drive', 'Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)' and 'Gay Bar' (ikonek). I love Biffy Clyro but was never that huge on 'Mountains'.
Agree re Mountains... a band I love, but with a biggest hit that's far from their best work imo. See also - Muse (Supermassive Black Hole), Bloc Party (The Prayer)

ABC - All Of My Heart

McFly - Room On The 3rd Floor

Supergrass - Going Out

Andy Williams - Can't Take My Eyes Off You

This was the fourth and final single taken from the excellent Lexicon Of Love album. From 1968, we have a classic from Andy Williams with his version of a Frankie Valli song from the previous year.

The Crystals - Da Doo Ron Ron

The Coral - Pass It On

Craig David featuring Bastille - I Know You

Mary Mary - Shackles (Praise You)

Pitbull featuring Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment

Another 60s classic here, this time from The Crystals. The words in the title were supposed to be temporary before the lyrics were written but Phil Spector decided to keep them for the finished song. From 2000, we have the only top 30 single by the Californian duo Mary Mary.

Oh wow, that is an earlier exit than I would've predicted for Mary Mary :o

Aswad - Shine

David Bowie - Rebel Rebel

Justin Hayward - Forever Autumn

Public Domain - Operation Blade (Bass in the Place)

From 1978, this was the highest charting solo single for the Moody Blues' singer. The definitive version to listen to is the eight minute track from the album 'Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds' with Richard Burton's narration included. From four years earlier, the second of David Bowie's two songs drops out.

Two of my votes drop out in one swoop there, from Aswad and once again David Bowie! Great songs from Andy Williams and The Coral too. Mary Mary are still in the current 2000s survivor where they outlasted The Killers - When You Were Young, which came 31st iirc in the all-time #2s poll!

U2 - Walk On

Zayn and Taylor Swift - I Don't Wanna Live Forever

This was the fourth single released from U2's tenth album, All That You Can't Leave Behind. It won the Grammy award for record of the year in 2002. Zayn loses the second of his two songs but Taylor Swift has one left.

Another loss with Walk On, I think the highest placed of my votes so far, although I expected it as I think Rio was its only other voter, also with 20 points. It's such an uplifting song and helped prove U2 still had it back then.

Walk On is my favourite song from post-1995 U2. That and Kite made for a strong middle of the album.

Some other good ones out here that didn't make my votes - Shine, Rebel Rebel, Room On The 3rd Floor, Shackles

Shackles is the most surprising loss so far, it didn't quite make my votes as I assumed it wouldn't need it :o

Yeah I'm surprised to see Mary Mary go out this early too. In more shocking news though, I lost three of mine in that batch :(

The Coral's 'Pass It On' - an indie anthem!

Zayn/Taylor - such a tune and I love their voices on that

'Room On The Third Floor' - although as Buzzjack's resident McFly stan, I'm just happy they made it this far :)

Other notable losses there are Aswad and the Craig David x Bastille collab, which should never have worked on paper but actually did to great effect!
