March 14, 20251 yr Author Wow what a busy week for new releases! Can't remember a week where there were 6 new adds across the A and B-lists 😮 (not to mention a further 5 on the C-list!)Wtf at them snubbing the previous Tom Grennan single but insta-adding the new one straight to the A-list?! AND giving him the A-list spot ahead of Calvin who's relegated to the B-list? The mind truly boggles!!Weird that 'Cry For Me' only lasted 4 weeks on the playlist despite being added straight to the A-list 😒But even weirder that 'Born Again' has been demoted to the B-list, that's something you don't see very often 😮 I think the last time that happened was Doja Cat's 'MASC' last April. I guess they had to make space for all the newbies somehow!
March 14, 20251 yr Funny to see Tom Grennan getting Insta-added to the A-List. Its a good song though. Didn't realise B2b was going to be another single from BRAT, although I guess most of the songs from the album seem to have been big at some point.
March 14, 20251 yr A big factor in Tom Grennan and JADE being insta A-listed will be because they’re at Big Weekend. Still rather excessive though.The Weeknd also had two weeks of ‘Tracks from…’ playlisting, so ‘Cry For Me’ has effectively had six weeks on the playlist. Rather than ‘Born Again’ getting demoted, I’d have binned off Aitch. The amount of short runners on the A-list probably means we’ll see more songs booted early - I reckon Aitch will go next week and can’t see Fontaines lasting more than another couple weeks.

It’s not as punchy / impactful but I don’t think it’s that bad at all.

This new one has and so was 'Higher' so I'm wondering if it was never a proper single.
