I have voted yesterday, and I have done my listening differently this time!!! I had the playlist on shuffle for past 3 days, and I must say that I really enjoyed doing that way. And the most fun part was when I was making my Top 10 finding out what countries were behind those entries…there were few shock surprises and few obvious ones but what I really loved the most was the fact that I still ended up voting for few countries that I frequently vote…I might continue do this from now and on <3

If I’m gonna be honest, Semi 2 is better for my song yet I love the Semi 1 songs a lot more 🤪 still got some good pop tracks to sink my teeth into

This is also why pop songs often race out of the blocks in the final results (when they are presented in order of receipt), only to drop later in the evening.

I suppose pop songs are generally more showy and instant and require fewer repeated listens to make an impression and get in your head enough to be able to fairly rank them.

Nice, I love doing the first listen blind on Spotify as it definitely helps to remove any potential subconscious bias. I think this month I was really shocked by the identities behind some of the songs when I checked as a lot of people have made genre swerves.
