Tuesday at 20:212 days Sent my shortest entry since 2010 I think (the song itself is also from that year).
Tuesday at 21:412 days Afraid I won't be taking part this month (and won't in March either) - hope it goes well though!
Yesterday at 01:061 day I did actually confirm on day 1 as I had a song in mind (it's not one that I've listened to as much as I usually do with my entries and there is a reason for that but nonetheless I knew immediately when I came across it that I wanted to share it here x) but otherwise have been hibernating from this forum a bit so just catching up with the thread now and given some of you some post reaction spam to wake up to xThanks Sabrewulf for taking on the hosting job, felt like a bit of a throwback having to shop around for a host after two years straight of the winners being happy* to host! The auto-qualifiers have always been reserved for the winners rather than the hosts (well I think there was one very old contest where someone hosted from 3rd place and was given the AQ over the person who came 2nd before the rule was really solidified but other than that x), but usually non-winner hosts do end up qualifying anyway so hopefully Dalisska should be fine, although the entry clash was unfortunate as I did already know your original entry and would have been shocked if that didn't qualify. Having said that I'd forgotten about WORSTIEHub also DNQing in their own contest oop (I thought Yobnedorica had been the only ones).*or blacksquare xI do really like the Blusher and Tove Styrke songs (as my votings in the Track of the Week polls mentioned in the writeups indicate xx) but they were both quite swift vetoes alas xOn 12/02/2026 at 11:22, Dobbo said:Didn't there used to be a rule where the host had to wait an hour after confirmations opening before submitting? (Or was that people going on holiday trying to "reserve" their entry pre-thread drop?)As fun as the throwback to artist reservation threads in this thread was I don't think that was actually what you were referring to haha - I think this was relating to holiday entries yes.On 12/02/2026 at 21:21, 152chris said:how does one track the timing of their anniversaries? god knows i haven’t been counting (as evidenced by my absolute disaster of a 50th entry) and id quite like to not make the same mistake againI do try and keep an eye out to remind people when they have anniversaries coming up (we're not due to have any more until much later this year unless there are any countries who return who were just short of one - I did say this before and Ben's Sanctuary returned on cue to have their 50th this month though so you never know). N DNTN's 100th is still a way off, this contest is your 78th.(had to look up what your 50th entry was (Frankie Animal - KICKDRUM KICKDRUM!), I actually do still vaguely remember it despite coming last in the semi - I gave it 1 point x)On 16/02/2026 at 17:16, Cody Rozanov said:well I’m glad I strayed away from the temptation of sending XG 😂also is the autoveto for the Capital playlist new? I thought that only applied to Radio 1Capital playlisting has always been in the veto framework! (as Rob said it's just... unusual for Capital to playlist anything that anyone with half a brain cell would think was ok to try to send anyway. That said, it may or may not have now happened a second time )39 minutes ago, uhsting said:wholune return Or 'Whole' as they spelt their country name on the form (welcome back Whoddy after a year away!)
Yesterday at 04:421 day I have a feeling I've picked an artist that's already taken, but I'll scramble for a back-up if needed!
Yesterday at 09:261 day Author Another veto:MEEK - Fabulous 25- appeared in 9 personal charts, 4 of which are current BJSC participants (DaTilt, Juranamo, RobBot, uhsting)- currently on the Capital FM playlist 25- was in the Pop Track of the Week poll, coming 1st with 7 votes- has a thread in the Pop forum with 15 replies (including explicit discussion of it being a likely BJSC veto!)- low to mid level blog coverage

It's also No.1 on Spotify UK viral chart.

It's also No.1 on Spotify UK viral chart. It should probably have 7 for moderate internet exposure on this website for its thread/Pop Track Of The Week exposure and I imagine it’ll enter the Multichart, probably this week, so that’s just a matter of timing. Regardless, I’d have voted to veto it, it’s just that sometimes the points don’t match up to online presence.
Yesterday at 15:491 day A note and a question. Do tags of people update if they change their name?If they do thought it might be handy to have a pinned list of countries and tagged members that any host can then pull from if they need to tag someone xoThoughts mods? @Bror et al

Yesterday at 16:431 day I would have voted to veto MEEK regardless of Capital playlisting as well because I don't want to inflict it on anyone who hasn't already had the displeasure of hearing it.
Yesterday at 17:201 day I also thought about sending Meek, but decided against, because of the high Veto risk. Same with Cherry Bomb.
