As I've been going through a shuffle of the new playlist I made of all the Deandria entries (bar two as they're missing from Spotify), I've heard one song in there that I didn't remember at all, apart from how the song title is sung 🥲 That was 'Oh My Love' by Tzlil Danin (back then she just went by Tzlil). I also don't remember 'Scars' by Elegeion at all, except that it was some kind of piano ballad.

I do remember most of the others quite well and I'm actually quite proud of Deandria's catalogue, even though I have a lot of DNQs. There are many very creative and artistic songs in there, which is what I love to bring most of all I guess. And through 57 entries, there is also a lot of variety!

I'm hoping this will inspire someone to re-listen to an old entry of theirs 😄

Separate Ways by Sour simply because it was removed from streaming quite soon after I sent it. It is on YouTube but hard to find by searching so have to go the long way round by Googling it first #effort. It came 4th as well so one of my best placings.

I can remember all of them. I don't think I'd ever completely forget one of my own entries given I've usually wired them into my brain permanently before ever submitting.

Agreed, I remember all of mine. Some I have question marks over why I sent them, but I still remember them.

Yes, I have a particular skill for remembering inconsequential things like this and I do keep them all in a playlist, so I do remember them all. Ofc. I don't listen to some of them at all these days and wonder why I sent them, but there's none that I at least don't remember how they go.

There’s a few of my pre-comeback songs that I couldn’t hum. Mostly the generic dance stuff that was popular at the time but has proved to be forgettable as years go by.

Some are still in regular rotation for me though like Best Thing by Sykes or Xtalk by Hundred Waters.

All my entries since BJSC 162 have been songs I’ve genuinely loved for that month (or even years prior in the cases of Girls Like Sex by L Devine and Dreamcatcher by Keke Palmer), so I could easily sing the choruses to every one on the spot.

The two I know least well are Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers and Kim lip.

Nope, I remember all of my catalogue pretty well.

I do obsessively loop each song before entering it just to make sure it's the one, so that probably helps

There are definitely some that I can’t recall, I can remember sending them but I’ve not really listened to them since and can’t recall how they go… Jesus Made Me Bad was one of them until Dobbo reminded me of it in his thread, but there are others too

I've never missed a contest and I couldn't even tell you three of my entries from last year off the top of my head.

A month or so ago I stumbled across You Can't Know Me by Strip Down on a YouTube recommendations list and thought 'that looks vaguely familiar' - turns out I sent it to BJSC

Looking through my old entries list, the only song I don't recall in the slightest is 'Movement' by The Whip, although I'm sure it would come back to me if I heard it.

I think at one point I did completely forget about Penguin Prison - Golden Train, but in recent years I have a Spotify playlist of all my entries that I shuffle fairly often so that's kept everything fresh in the memory x (although usually I am shuffling it on my phone so it doesn't play any songs I have saved as local files - so the closest answer I have to this is probably Skee Mask - Via Sub Mids as it's not on Spotify and I haven't gone out of my way to listen to it for ages, plus it's an instrumental and I've sent a lot of those so it's not always easy to recall exactly which one is which. Remedying that by giving it a spin on YouTube now and it's still great xx)

Just as well that you still somewhat recall Ozzwald - Lost, as I thought for a long time that song had been completely erased from the Internet...! (though I did finally find it again recently on a somewhat shady looking Chinese website that seems to have just scraped a bunch of songs from Spotify, good for recovering some BJSC lost media x)

I do actually remember that one (or at least part of it) reasonably well! It isn't a song I've gone back to though, so the fact it has vanished from existence is completely lost on me

Years there’s bound to be a few that have entirely escaped my memory over the years.

I barely remember spin off entires. Except for a handful and in particular my entry to the first foreign language spin off. Legit changed my life (ok so that’s dramatic but it totally changed my listening habits and that’s snowballed into some insane things over the years)
