April 7Apr 7 I have (hopefully) wrangled John into posting the PM votes at some point anyway (part of the reason I'm saying it might take a few days to get a final verified scoreboard is that I'd really rather see the PM votes before adding them into my own spreadsheet just in case there were any errors creeping in when converting the votes into the graphics, as lovely as they are x) but here's my PM if anyone wants to read my rambles now x22 hours ago, Bror said:Hello from Persephonia, thanks to Altyr Muunilinst for the hosting this month and here's hoping Searows has been doing well for us so far x Here are our votes for the final of BJSC 183 18 Jadakissnia // edeprss and Brinettte - BENGRAMO (feat. They last got our 18 with Them Are Us Too in BJSC 166, with previous golds going to Last Lynx in BJSC 74, MONOMOTION in BJSC 97, goreshit in BJSC 102, Somnium in BJSC 108, Ross From Friends in BJSC 119, Aphex Twin in BJSC 123, Tempers in BJSC 127, Nürnberg in BJSC 130, Acid Fader in BJSC 142 and Odd Nosdam in BJSC 155 (so this wait of 17 contests is their second longest ever after the 23 contest gap between their first two golds).- Dalisska continue to do ever better for us with each entry since their comeback as they get their highest points to date from us for a fourth contest in a row, surpassing the 9 to R. Missing last month, and get their first ever medal from us, a silver.- Cheiron also place on our podium for the first time ever with a bronze, also getting their highest points to date from us for a second contest in a row, surpassing the 12 to Pixel Grip last month.- Hendinia get their highest points from us since 12 to Lola Indigo in BJSC 148.- Baleghde get their first points from us since 6 to BYRTA in BJSC 140 (notably going back to their Mosquetania days there - it's their first points from us under the current name after also never voting for them in a final when they were known as Kyriatine (or IKR Dakoteh, not that we'd have been able to vote for IKR Dakoteh in a final x)).- The Spodic Empire get their first points from us since 3 to Elsiane in BJSC 173.(lol at this being Jadakissnia's 35th medal from us while my other two medalled nations have a combined total of... 2 x)

I would have to do the same again unfortunately! I cannot commit to hosting something as big as BJSC and plus I have approximately 0% creativity and design skills so it’d be a very plain/bland contest.
April 7Apr 7 Well, if the two ahead of me aren't interested it has been a while since I've hosted and it would be fun to bring some of my newfound OTT energy to 184 (just ta throw it out there eggs oh eggs oh)
April 7Apr 7 Congratulations dandy* another Fljótavík landslide! I totally get the appeal, even if it ends the run of BJSC winners I voted for, stretching back to... Ninajirachi as it goes.Pending finalisation of the scoreboard, it looks like most of my favourites finished just below mine, but Hendinia in 10th were an exception - I came very close to sending 'Starry Eyed' in the previous contest (that, 'cul-de-sac', 'Sinner' and 'Implosion' were my final four), and then tried to reconfirm to it this month after I found out I'd been beaten to 'Sinner' this time, but was too late on that too, so I missed out on two top 10s in one go last contest!Regardless of where exactly I actually finish this time, thanks again to the 24 (I think) who voted, and after the long wait for a score above 10, it looks like I've ended up with a marginally higher average points per voter than my top 20 finishers Metric and Echoberyl. Second place in the semi now the early hype makes more sense, just couldn't sustain some of those high scores in the final... and also yikes at three of my votes squeaking through, though I still feel for Taahino and Zanmatony just missing out as a result. Thanks John for hosting! 👏

It most certainly wasn't my taste at all, but I guess there is a reason I DNQ and you won

April 8Apr 8 Amazing results, and congrats Dandy! Looks like I was one of just a few who liked the winner but didn't contribute to the sea of 18s. I liked 2nd and 3rd place even more - not necessarily how I'd expect to rank the podium just based on the nations involved! Very happy with 9th, only sad for East Ruk who sent what sounded to me like a female singer songwriter covering The War On Drugs. Also thought that with me pointing Pophub (albeit not much), that would mean that they'd have a lot wider appeal.
April 8Apr 8 Congratulations Dandy! It’d have felt slightly off for anything else to have won in a contest where the hype has been dominated so heavily by one song and the discussion around it has felt like that of an instant classic. It’s not my cup of tea, in the sense that I’d have no desire to ever listen to it as music, but it’s a clever and thought-provoking piece of poetry. A shame you can’t host as I really enjoyed the last Dandy hosting 💔The first winner since BJSC 172 I haven’t voted for so it’s been a good run of Rob faves tbf - almost the exact inverse of Brer 😂!Loooooved all of the graphic design for this contest John, that’s how you do a “simple” style of hosting but make it look effortlessly chic and easy. I know it’s not easy making loads of graphics though and it takes a lot of organisation to keep doing it alongside the results you’re adding up too, so kudos to you.Very happy with 10th! Had an inkling Baby Jane was getting a liiitle overhyped and I didn’t think that was just pessimism, as I did predict my own entry to finish top 3 last contest as I was genuinely confident in it. There was a good chunk of the contest that I wasn’t top 10 at all so it was a pleasant surprise to see the final scoreboard. Hopefully no sneaky mistakes will throw me out after this post 😂 thank you to everyone who enjoyed it and has been vocal about enjoying it - it’s been nice to see some different voters for Hendinia this time!Happy to see Ojnoj made top 2, I did tell you not to be disappointed that you didn’t get Yseult as I knew this would do well for sure. My 18 going top 3 is great too, well done Phil. It’s been a better year than usual for Eurovision rejects, two top 5s this year. What to do next contest ~ I’ve been SO busy the last few weeks that my excitement for new music that isn't Slayyyter has dipped a tad but hopefully I’ve got something up my sleeve to keep a strong start to 2026 up!

April 8Apr 8 Just catching up! Congrats Dandy on your win, looking forward to our upcoming trip to Fljótavík 😌I have my entry for the next contest picked out, I swear if any of you try it I'll send something horrendous as revenge, same goes if I'm vetoed (hopefully shouldn't be) !!! I do really love this song though so I'm excited to share it although it's a ballad and you haven't been kind to my ballads in the past 😤 Also, should we go back to our pop-rock roots? Classic girl with guitars-esque? We don't have many more entries left before we join Hushky in retirement so I do want to make these contests count x
