Exiting the Top 10 are Lies (7-11, 17,902 sales) by Zach Bryan feat. Lana Del Rey, and Patient Zero (10-16, 15,980 sales) by Taylor Swift. With consumption of Japan falling 22.11% to 13,181 units and of Marianne 34.53% to 12,187 units, the top two tracks from Fontaines DC’s Dopamine Chamber album descend 14-19 and 12-21, respectively. Completing the Irish band’s triumvirate under primary artist restrictions last week, Demolition suffers a greater 43.43% diminution in consumption to 8,889 units in the latest frame, and is relegated to ‘starred-out’ status, enabling Mimesis to debut at No.34, despite its own consumption easing 38.57% week-on-week to 9,440 units. It is the 12th hit for Fontaines DC, and the sixth track from Dopamine Chamber to chart. The only other new entry to the Top 75 is Fancy Footwork (82-71, 5,691 sales) by Chris Lorenzo & Chromeo. The track is an updated version of a 2010 Chromeo track that can be heard on the Step Up 3D soundtrack, and peaked at No.185 at the time. The new version is the second Top 75 hit for DJ and producer Lorenzo from Birmingham, following his 2015 No.13 Hannah Wants collaboration, Rhymes, and the first for Canadian dance/funk duo Chromeo. The first of six solo hits for Little Mix member Jade (Thirlwall), Angel Of My Dreams was also the biggest, reaching No.7 in August 2024. Recently certified platinum, it has more than four times the consumption of anything else in her solo canon, and zaps back onto the chart this week, after increasing adjusted consumption 328.80% (unadjusted: 124.23%) week-on-week to 16,607 units, escaping ACR after a double whammy which saw Kylie Jenner walking the runway to it at a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and Jade herself performing the song at the Mercury Prize awards eight days ago. With Angel Of My Dreams’ cumulative consumption rising to 626,484 units, its revival also impacts parent album That’s Showbiz Baby, which increases consumption 55.25% week-on-week to 562 units, raising its lifetime tally to 77,638 units. Mercury Prize winner Raye, meanwhile, sees her No.1 single, Where Is My Husband!, climb 51-40 (8,550 sales) – an eight-week high – after the event. After holding at its debut position of No.38 last week, Shotta’s – the first hit for rising UK R&B/rap artist Season 25 – climbs to No.30 (10,756 sales). The fastest mover within the chart is Coming Up Roses, which blooms 59-35 (9,390 sales) for Harry Styles after the release of its promotional video. It is the fourth Top 40 hit plucked from his fourth solo studio album, Kiss All The Time: Disco Occasionally, and his 34th Top 40 single in total (including 19 with One Direction). There are also new peaks for: Unethical (47-44, 7,611 sales) by Faouzia and The Sun Will Never Set (68-56, 6,814 sales) by Kingfishr. Tomorrow is Halloween, and as its celebration increases in popularity, so too does the purchase and streaming of songs that can be harnessed to seasonal playlists. Last year, we saw a record eight Halloween-adjacent songs penetrate the Top 40. The only one to make it so far this year is 1983 single Thriller, which laid down a marker last week, and now surges 39-17 (15,046 sales) for Michael Jackson, having reached its all-time peak of No.9 a year ago. Overall singles consumption is up 1.56% week-on-week to 29,646,410 units, 4.32% below same week 2025 sales of 30,984,457 units. Paid-for sales are up 5.40% week-on-week at 263,181, 5.84% below same week 2025 sales of 279,507.Albums01 20,172 My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade [7,977 CDs, 9,257 vinyl, 978 cassettes, 346 downloads, 1,614 streaming] [total: 1,256,082]02 13,639 Fontaines D.C. - Dopamine Chamber03 12,548 Olivia Rodrigo - you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love04 11,318 Amy Winehouse - Back to Black [total: 4,663,829]05 10,128 Michael Jackson - The Essential06 8,432 Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving07 7,876 SIENNA SPIRO - Visitor08 7,037 Fleetwood Mac - 50 Years: Don't Stop09 6,824 The Weeknd - The Highlights10 6,548 Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible - Live11 6,548 Tony Iommi & Jorn - From the Dark12 5,987 Katy Perry - The Ones That Got the Plays13 5,882 Michael Kiwanuka - FUDGE14 5,638 Oasis - Time Flies... 1994-200915 5,462 RAYE - THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. [total: 77,638]Compilations01 3,147 KPop Demon Hunters [205 Yoto cards, 24 CDs, 21 vinyl, 19 downloads, 2,878 streaming] QuoteDenied a No.1 debut in 2006 when its introductory sale of 85,805 units was inferior to the 147,236 opening made by Robbie Williams’ Rudebox, My Chemical Romance’s third and most celebrated album, The Black Parade, finally reaches the summit, after being released in a plethora of 20th anniversary editions.Catapulting 162-1 with consumption soaring 1353.31% week-on-week to 20,172 units (7,977 CDs, 9,257 vinyl albums, 978 cassettes, 346 digital downloads and 1,614 sales-equivalent streams), it is the first album by the New Jersey rock band to reach No.1.On its third week in the Top 10, 24th week in the Top 40, 56th week in the Top 75 and 171st week in the Top 200, it increases the album’s already substantial lead as the band’s most-consumed title, raising its cume to 1,256,082 units. That’s more than their three other studio sets together: their No.9 2004 second album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, is on 662,536 units; most recent (2010) No.2 set Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys is on 312,470 units; and 2002 No.129 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love is on 172,042 units. Although it is 16 years since their last new studio album, My Chemical Romance are still extant, and toured ahead of The Black Parade’s 20th birthday earlier this year, raising it as high as No.21 just 15 weeks ago. They have also charted with 2006 No.53 live album, Life On The Murder Scene (163,95 sales), 2008 No.12 live album The Black Parade Is Dead! (76,679 sales), 2015 No.15 compilation, May Death Never Stop You (501,401 sales) and a standalone 2016 10th anniversary release of The Black Parade bundled with demos set Living With Ghosts, which peaked at No.11 and was eventually merged with the original release, meaning its sales have been subsumed therein. The week after The Black Parade debuted at No.2, Amy Winehouse’s second album, Back To Black, debuted at No.3. It reached No.1 10 weeks later, eventually spending seven weeks at the summit in original and deluxe editions, most recently topping the chart in 2011, shortly after her death. Newly expanded with previously unreleased demos, rare b-sides and live recordings, it surges 112-4 (11,318 sales), reaching the Top 10 for the first time since it got to No.7 on the 10th anniversary of Winehouse’s death in 2021. It too had a split chart career, with the original and deluxe versions charting separately before being united. The OCC website shows it as having spent 365 weeks in the Top 75, 571 weeks in the Top 100 and 913 weeks in the Top 200 – but these tallies don’t include the chart run of the deluxe edition, which spent 61 weeks in the Top 200, 56 of them, in the Top 100, and 53 of them in the Top 75. Across all versions, Back To Black’s cumulative consumption of 4,663,829 units is the 11th highest of any album, the eighth highest of a studio album, and the second highest of an album by a female soloist, trailing only Adele’s 21 (5,755,621 units). It is also second to 21 among all 21st century album releases. In addition to the total listed above, Back To Black was issued in a double pack with Frank, in which configuration it achieved a further 66,469 sales, peaking at No.10. No.1 on debut last week, Dopamine Chamber suffers an 80.54% dip in consumption to 13,639 units for Fontaines DC as it falls to No.2.In 2014 to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their No.6 third album, The Holy Bible, Manic Street Preachers embarked on a sell-out tour performing the album in its entirety. The Holy Bible – Live, capturing their December 2014 performances over three nights at London’s Roundhouse, is the only bona fide new entry to the Top 10 (No.10, 6,548 sales), and becomes the veteran Welsh rockers’ 20th Top 20 album – their entire output. The rest of the Top 10: You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love (2-3, 12,548 sales) by Olivia Rodrigo, The Essential (3-5, 10,128 sales) by Michael Jackson, The Art Of Loving (4-6, 8,432 sales) by Olivia Dean, Visitor (5-7, 7,876 sales) by Sienna Spiro, 50 Years: Don’t Stop (6-8, 7,037 sales) by Fleetwood Mac and The Highlights (7-9, 6,824 sales) by The Weeknd.Exiting the Top 10: The Ones That Got The Plays (10-12, 5,987 sales) by Katy Perry, Time Flies: 1994-2009 (8-14, 5,638 sales) by Oasis and – after debuting at No.9 last week – Rachel Chinouriri’s now uncharted second album, I Think I Spoke Too Soon (749 sales)A founder member of Black Sabbath, and the only member to be in every incarnation of the heavy metal legends, 78-year-old guitarist Tony Iommi makes his solo Top 75 debut with fourth solo album, From The Dark. Debuting at No.11 (6,548 sales) it is only the second of those albums to even make the Top 200, following his 2000 solo debut Iommi, which peaked at No.132, and is prevented from making the Top 10 only by fractional sales, having the exact same rounded tally as the Manic Street Preachers album. It fares better in Germany, where it debuts at No.3. Also new to the Top 75: Fudge (No.13, 5,882 sales), the fifth album by 39-year-old singer/songwriter Michael Kiwanuka, who reached the top five with all of his previous releases. It’s been a big few days for Raye – after winning the Mercury Prize with her chart-topping second album, This Music May Contain Hope eight days ago (22 October), she celebrated her 29th birthday last Saturday (October 24), and now returns to the Top 20 with said album, which catapults 88-15 with consumption climbing 184.22% week-on-week to 5,462 units. The album, which achieved consumption of 46,976 units as it debuted at No.1 30 weeks ago, was last in the Top 20 24 weeks ago. Its to-date consumption of 152,141 units, is just over half the 295,002 units her 2023 No.2 debut, My 21st Century Blues has achieved.Meanwhile Mercury Prize 2025 winner, People Watching, is also on the rise, moving 69-43 (2,869 sales) for Sam Fender following the pre-sale of tickets for his upcoming 2027 tour. The Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack secures a 62nd week at No.1 on the compilation chart, with consumption rising 13.86% to 3,147 units (205 Yoto cards, 24 CDs, 21 vinyl albums, 19 digital downloads and 2,878 sales-equivalent streams) – its highest tally for eight weeks. Overall album sales are down 1.22% week-on-week to 2,403,179 units, 9.59% below same week 2025 sales of 2,658,170. Physical product accounts for 308,507 sales, 12.84% of the total. 18 hours ago18 hr those downloads for Babydoll are massive considering Jamie doesn't have much of a fanbase! that Strictly placement was smart given his target audience likely overlaps heavily with the show's viewershipover 19k clear of Tate and nearly over 70k combined sales Edited 18 hours ago18 hr by maggotsforbrains

16 hours ago16 hr Great sales at the top of the singles chart for a change. Also glad to see MCR #1 in the album chart! Adele getting closer to that 20x platinum! 21 was certified 19x in Feb this year, so averaging ~1400 sales a week. Should pass 6 million sometime in late 2029/early 2030 at its current rate. Although it may get a bit of a boost next year if Adele does release a new album.
16 hours ago16 hr I'm a bit shocked at those download sales for Babydoll, isn't that insanely high for nowadays?

15 hours ago15 hr Impressive sales for Jamie, shame the song is so mediocre. Will be hard for Tate to overcome this though and I can’t see her increasing enough to overcome ☹️
3 hours ago3 hr Great sales for the number one so great to see another hit this year instead of the same 2/3 songs dominating and a lot of smaller sales hits. The Babydoll reaction to being performed shows that TV promo can still work if it’s arranged for the correct moment when it’s still climbing in the charts and a lot of people are discovering it, record labels take note please!Fantastic to see MCR no1, did I read on here this week the album Didbt get no1 in 2007??

3 hours ago3 hr That has to be the highest streams for a No.1 this year? Unfortunate for Tate she's had higher units this week than half the No.1s have this year. Fontaines have held up really well, if its a quieter week coming up it could be between them and Olivia R for the No.1 album next week.
