'All The Time' really is one of the finest pop songs ever made. Just incredible. I didn't know that Texas song by name but I have definitely heard it before and I actually think this is my favourite song of theirs! HTBAH is so good! Such a great choice for this round. 'Like I Can' has always been my favourite song by Sam Smith! JADE connection to the 'Starburster' music video >>>> hehe jk. But the song is great! Like that Sam song but it's not a favourite of mine! The obvious choice for Bananarama and it's a bop. Didn't recognise that SE-B song by name either, but I have heard it and it's a bop. Imagine my SHOCK that I ranked Gary Numan above Darin... CHEESEBLOCK! Both are bops but there was something a bit movie-esque about Numan's!

Depeche Mode's kinda washed over me, oops. Kate just isn't really for me on the whole tbh. New Order... last song in the order but the most forgettable? Never been a fan of that Adele song. Always found it annoying and Tom's vocals are horrendous, I couldn't stand it. Sorry!

I have to say I think is one of the best of all the rounds we have had so far, I am listening to all the songs and so far I really love all but 3. A few of them are the strongest songs for acts that have been sent so far! ❤️ Excellent play!

1st Depeche Mode - People Are People the lyrics to this are eternally relevant

2nd New Order - Ceremony a Joy Division song which New Order re-recorded after Ian Curtis died, I hope it keeps them in the competition

3rd Gary Numan - Intruder another good recent song from him

4th Kate Bush - Babooshka not one of my favourites by her but still well ahead of 5th place and the right song to send at this stage

5th Bananarama - Cruel Summer my favourite from them apart from the two songs they did with Fun Boy Three

6th Fontaines D.C. - Starburster I wasn't expecting the theme tune to MobLand, I didn't know it was by this group

01 Darin - Electric this is an exceptional pop song!! Possibly my favourite pick of his to date. I love that there's a pop boy in this contest delivering pop bliss.

02 Sam Fender - Getting Started yet another strong offering from Fender! Love the "oh tonight I'm going out" parts especially. His voice is SO GOOD also.

03 Bananarama - Cruel Summer fab play from the bananas!! Irresistible 80s classic. They probably could've gotten away with playing a more risky choice but I trust in the plan.

04 Depeche Mode - People Are People one of their stronger choices so far imo. Very happy they got back in!

05 Adele - Oh My God great pick from Adele here! One of the standouts of that album for me. Her mentor is smashing it so far. Well done!

06 Gary Numan - Intruder ooh another great pick from this year's Old Man. Very happy to see him return.

07 Zara Larsson - All the Time perhaps my fave discovery from Zara this contest (and there's been a few!) - 7th feels a bit low for this actually but the quality above this is so high!

08 Tom Grennan - Royal Highness now this is far from my favourite Tom selection but there's enough appeal and vocal slayage to put him in 8th.

09 New Order - Ceremony enjoyed this one: New Order have been pretty consistent for me but still waiting to be WOWed.

10 MARINA - How to Be a Heartbreaker solid MARINA track - though admittedly never been a huge lover of it. Can't deny it's a smart move here though.

11 Sam Smith - Like I Can this is one of the standouts from Sam's debut even if my tastes have changed since then. Again, 11th feels cruel for this.

12 Kate Bush - Babooshka another nice discovery from Mother Bush but not one I'd rush to seek out again.

13 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Get Over You yeah wasn't a fan then and not a fan now. I think this is a sensible choice at this stage though and should see her through with ease.

14 Texas - Halo I think Texas have fluctuated the most of any act in my rankings this season. This just wasn't one of the hits for me. 💔

15 Fontaines D.C. - Starburster wasn't really taking to this compared to the others. Sorry!

9 Adele - Oh My God: it’s catchy but nothing really special

10 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Get Over You: also catchy but its twin hit “Move This Mountain” has more depth

11 Darin - Electric: still not entirely my thing but pretty good for its style
