Lower down the iTunes top 100, there are four more songs live from the Brits: Take That’s Kidz (currently at 28); Plan B’s She Said Prayin’ (37), Mumford & Sons Timshel (43) and Cee Lo Green and Paloma Faith’s Forget You at 45. It is not currently clear if sales of Brits downloads are eligible for the Official Charts Company chart.

This bit concerns me, does that mean Adele's Brit's version of SLY is eligible to chart, when its officially top 3. Its not clear cut is it  And Kidz have charted lower down the chart.

I think Id rather Jessie J was number 1 again
So that seemingly random poster on youtube was correct about Adele's album selling 90,000 so far. Like I predicted earlier, this is on for 200,000+ this week when you consider that figure only includes approx 28 hours of after Brit sales plus the huge physicals she's going to sell on Saturday to the supermarket shoppers!

I so wish that she could get number 1 but, I just think it's too late. :(
^iTSAN, if they're combined, could you explain to us why Pass Out isn't top 30?

Pass Out is only a few places ahead of Written In The Stars. If Brits performance sales are being added to Pass Out, that doesn't seem right.

Judging by the track at #16 on the iTunes chart, if the sales have been added to Pass Out, Pass Out should easily be top 30, it looks like they have removed the sales completely, because you can't allocate sales from a mash up to one individual track, just doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, I'm thinking they might be re-considering what to do, because they don't want everyone to complain, so for now they're simply not counting the sales for the mash-ups in the mid-weeks.

Unelss they've already decided that they're going to not combine them now, but I would've thought WBTSO would be top 40, although perhaps not, just after one day.

I hope (and think) Jessie J will be #1 again... I don't even like it particularly, but I want to see it purely for the hilarity of it! It would be the second straight week she steals it against everyone's expectations.

In all seriousness, I'd like to see Adele take it, but I just don't see it... to compensate for its shortfall earlier in the week, it would need to sell double its nearest competitors right up until Sunday, and I think it's going to start trailing off from tonight.

I'd predict this:

01 Jessie J (90k)

02 Lady Gaga (85k)

03 Adele (80k)

I hope (and think) Jessie J will be #1 again... I don't even like it particularly, but I want to see it purely for the hilarity of it! It would be the second straight week she steals it against everyone's expectations.

Yeah, it would be like this year's Poker Face.

I was thinking though, if Adele is #1 in tommorrow's mid-weeks (which I doubt), that will spoil the surprise. If Jessie J is #1 in tommorrow's mid-weeks (again, I doubt it), then that will narrow it down to Adele vs. Jessie J tbh.

Is Avril still in the top 30?

Yes 20+8=

I didn't expect Adele to be as high as #3 today. Looks like it could actually get #1 :D

Hopefully we'll have a clearer answer as to what happened to the sales of WBTSO tomorrow. It's not entirely impossible it's charted separately but just missed the top 40 today, it could be top 40 in tomorrow's mids.

I'm firmly in TEAM ADELE even though I love all three songs, it's about time we had a quality ballad (i.e. non X Factor artist/winning single/charity related) at the top of the charts.
I think Adele could do it. Atm she's selling almost 3x as much as Gaga on itunes combined and 2x what Jessie is selling. If this lead continues/increases, we could see Adele catch up and overtake by saturday. It's going to be very close though!
Had Gaga held off until this week she could have cleared 150,000 + In a week :o and landed anything between 160,000 - 200,000

I actually find myself agreeing with Shelli. Going to get shot at from all angles for this but I do not see the hype for "Someone Like You", it's nice enough but her vocals are a bit OTT and it's hardly world-endingly brilliant.

"Born This Way" looks like it's not going to make it now, bizarrely. Still, it should be a big contender next week assuming we get the video in the next few days (anyone remember how badly "Telephone" was doing before THAT video?). I think Adele may miss out this week by virtue of the fact that I'm guessing there's a big gap between Jessie J and Chipmunk so Adele may not be anywhere near #2 just yet.

I'm so impressed at "Price Tag", it would be hilarious if it did a "Poker Face" and sustained its sales long enough to be year-end #1 - if only so in these days of frontloaded sales, we'd have a year-end #1 which never sold over 100k in a given week for the second consecutive year.

Had Gaga held off until this week she could have cleared 150,000 + In a week :o and landed anything between 160,000 - 200,000

Yep! She would have sales of at least 130k in a week so 100% number 1!

Adele felt the need for a small jump! From 18 to 3 in a day?? And 90k for her album! Definitely over 130k for another week, probably somewhere 150-170k!
