Okay, I'm sorry but LMAO WHAT at Denali ending up in the bottom 2 there when LaLa Ri's performance in the challenge was there to see??? Denali wasn't amazing in the challenge, but she was a lot better than LaLa Ri and served a great look on the runway too! I guess it's maybe a good thing it's happened though so the other girls see just how good she is at lip-syncing?

 

Definitely the right first elimination, even if it was the most obvious, but I just couldn't see Kahmora opening up any more. Her runway look was very nice, but that's about all there was to her?

 

Kandy really saved herself in the challenge too because my god that runway look was hideous. I don't think I've been wowed by a single one of her looks so far? They're all so basic and I feel she's going to end up getting quite far with the same basic looks but managing to perform well in the challenges. *sigh*

Poor Denali but that has got to be one of the most one sided lip syncs ever!

 

Love how Rose is putting herself towards the top (although I am underwhelmed by her runways)

 

Kahmora has to be one of the weakest first eliminations - just weak all round.

 

I loved Symone in this episode, after not really getting the praise in her first win. Will she be another Bob? (runaway winner from the start)

Sadly I think that’s a good comparison. I think sometimes queens have shade but with Kandy it feels like her bitchiness comes from a place of insecurity

Symone was a deserved winner, yet AGAIN. The acting challenge was so good and that runway. WOWWWWWW. Such a look, I was shook. Very happy to see Rose delivering again, she really is one to watch.

 

Denali being in the bottom 2 was a joke, her acting was not the best but certainly not the worst. Her lipsync was fantastic though, I almost felt sorry for Kahmora who deserved to go. And lol at Jeffrey popping up again, cringeworthy. He is honestly a worse actor than most of the queens and he is supposed to be an actor for a living..

 

I do feel the show is getting more and more scripted, especially the difference compared to the British version is showing. The queens are brilliant this season, so that's what saving it for me.

Symone is the moment. I would be very surprised not to see her in the final.

 

I did laugh during Untucked when Joey Jay said the queens were neck and neck and there were no obvious standouts or first-outs. You can just tell that days are numbered for Joey, Lala Ri and Elliott.

I reckon they put Denali in the bottom over LaLa as they want to keep her in the long-run and lipsyncs equals screentime! Especially as she's got the 'loser with something to prove' storyline which is unique for Drag Race so far. If LaLa was bottom two she'd have smashed it anyway. I feel like they knew Kahmora was going to be the first to go as that tree role was awful, and spending so much time on her and one line sealed the deal. Poor girl was slaughtered in the lipsync she never was going to win that.

 

Symone was fantastic and well deserved another win! I can understand why Kandy was high and good on her for putting herself in that role where she knew it'd suit her and show off her strengths! But that runway look omg, particularly the hair and makeup. Dare I say it was even worse than Tia Kofi's leather daddy into flamenco dancer thing from DRUK this week?! Really shoddy. I like her though but hope she gets fairly critiqued rather than relying on personality.

 

I probably would've put Olivia Lux ahead of Rose for 'high', thought she looked fantastic on the runway and felt very natural and funny in her role which could've been quite dull otherwise! It's reassuring to see the judging fairly correct and I wouldn't have changed much in the order tbh!

 

Interesting for next week that Symone 'can't sew' :o. Also feel like this could be where Gottmik, Utica and Tamisha shine through. They've all been fairly middling so far.

Symone is a juggernaut, it's so effortless with her too!

 

As much as I love Denali, I can see why she was bottom 2 as she bit off way more than she could chew there. Having the main roles with lots of funny references to pull off, you have to do it or it just falls flat. However, I do think LaLa was worse (especially haing to play opposite Symone and Rosé!) as she had pretty much no energy or spark, she was just saying her lines as herself. Denali you could see was trying to pull it off but with such an integral role it definitely needed to pop and it just didn't :( Tbh Kandy just did it as herself too so as an ACTING challenge I'd have to say I'm a bit hmm at her being "high" especially with a look as hideous as that on the runway, not just the actual outfit either but the hair and make-up, girl... I feel like Utica or Olivia easily could have been high instead there. Rosé deserved it though for me, she had a role that could have been really forgettable but made it work for her anyway with the limited scraps of time she had.

 

BUT I'm glad Denali was in the bottom 2 because that lipsync omggggggggggg *.* She KILLED it, buried it, exhumed the body and then cremated the remains - she might be one of the best performers the show has seen in recent years? Every single beat she is on it, every move feels so perfectly thought out and executed. I think that might be why she was bottom 2 aswell, they knew Kahmora would go anyway and they might as well get some Denali airtime and a great lipsync on her part out of it. Poor Kahmora had no chance, nice enough looks but that's virtually it. Screaming at them making her play a tree with like three lines and her still messing it up :')

 

The runway standard was really high in general tonight too, especially from Symone (audible gasp when she came on) and Gottmik.

So glad Symmone scored her second (or third?) win. I love her.

THAT LIPSYNC!!! I think the bottom 2 and 3 were correct ultimately and dare I say Tamisha should have been top over Kandy- I found her hilarious in the challenge and her runway was (albeit basic) very pretty.

The week was over from the moment Symone uttered her first line at rehearsals. Absolutely amazing. 2 out of 2 possible wins, I don't think anyone has ever done that before?

Yeah thinking about it she is!!! A very impressive feat- closest I can think of is Alexis winning 2 out of the first 3 challenges unless i’m missing something obvious?

Yep that’s about the closest and I suppose Sh*rry being in the top for You Don’t Know Me and then winning World’s Worst but that wasn’t two WINS, as I wouldn’t class top 2 and losing the lip sync a win, that’s just a top 2.

The episode was great. I thought the judging was generally ok. I didn't think Kandy or Rosé should've placed high - especially with Kandy's runway. I thought Olivia/Tamisha should've been high over those two.

I was really happy to see Tamisha do so well this week. With a ball challenge next week I hope she succeeds and ends up placing high or even winning.

Gigi is the fastest to 3 wins in a normal season, she did it in 6 episodes! Baga did the same in 5 episodes on Drag Race UK but two of them were shared (I guess that doesn't mean that they mean less, but still). I guess Gigi has 3 and a half in that same timeframe, kind of, since she was also top 2 in I'm That Bitch. Interesting to note none of these names we've thrown up to these records have won!

Kahmora going first - saw that coming a mile off, beautiful runways but lacking in the performance area. How in the hell Denali end up in the bottom 2, sure her performance wasn't all that great, but LaLa Ri & Joey Jay were far worse, especially the former who hasn't impressed me so far with such basic looks & not really shining through, don't think LaLa will last very long, she'll be the 4th or 5th out.

Joey Jay, his boy looks are stronger than his drag & that's not a good sign, but god I'm totally in :heart:, Denali's lipsync was EPIC & despite this week's little stumble, she'll bounce back & hopefully get far.

Symone - YES totally killed it, with 2 wins already, a finalist for sure (getting strong Jaida Essence Hall vibes), a strong contender for the crown, plus her runway really tipped the scales for the win in this week's challenge. Kandy Muse was also brilliant in the challenge & I am starting to warm to her a little bit. Elliot with 2 T's, not warming to at all, won't be surprised if she's the next out.

I want her to go all the way to the final.

 

Other than that, we all agree on Lala Ri...amazing personality but seems like she can't put that on use on challenges unfortunately. I see her struggling and crumbling and probably she'll be out pretty soon.

 

Joey Jay and Elliott are the other two that will probably leave soon as well because I don't think they have it and we're on episode 4!!!
