August 22, 20223 yr A lot to digest from the mids. Firstly, super impressive Madonna! I expected that to be the maximum end of week total not the first mids. She won't add too much on I don't think, but still impressive and hopefully on lock for top 5 *.* Demi I wish was 5 places higher though. An incredible album. I knew it was going to be a hard push with her trouble with the label(?) and her switching lanes considerably, and the lack of support the era has received + controversial artwork etc but it deserves it for the quality of the music. Can't see it holding up well though and it'll probably free-fall from now. Over on the singles chart, a strong debut for BLACKPINK and hoping Nicki gets in the top 10!
August 22, 20223 yr I think Madonna has exceeded expectations already, even some of her loyal fans didnt think it would do this well so hats off to her, interesting to see what it sells for the rest of the week, the albums top 10 is well freshened up this week with lots of new entries.

August 23, 20223 yr Hot Chip 2.7k / Demi 4.5k / Oasis 5.8k / Panic! 5.9k Demi's become a bit more unpredictable now that some of their formats have had price cuts, but as things stand it looks like Harry Styles, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran could be on course to overtake by Friday. Hopefully Demi will get a sales boost and hold strong. Holy Fvck - 4,488. For the sake of interest, Demi's previous album was on 8,345 sales in its Monday midweek. Steps have slightly bettered the Monday midweek of their previous album. 16,277 for 'What the Future Holds Pt. 2' vs. 16,609 for 'Platinum Collection'.
August 23, 20223 yr Looks like Harry will be #4 then. I didn't think Ed had any chance of keeping his Top 5 run going, but he does have a slim one if those new albums are super-frontloaded - still I think and hope PATD will hold on.

August 23, 20223 yr According to the Madonna forum there have been issues dispatching the 6LP of Finally Enough Love from her store. It is a limited product and very pricey so can't imagine it adding much more to the total but maybe a smallish boost incoming for it if the issue is fixed by Friday!
August 23, 20223 yr Amazon Price Cuts Aitch CD £5.99 Demi Lovato CD £5.99 Steps have it in the bag - fair play to them after being the bridesmaids for their recent albums, shame it’s another GH getting to #1 but we’ll take it! Love or loathe them for a band so far into their career they really put in the extra effort on album release weeks. The price cuts for others is just to maintain their positions I think - they all know they are lagging too far behind Steps to make a real challenge. Team Aitch are probably pushing for the #2?

Only 6k units so I imagine most of them will be in the US. I’ve been trying for months to get a copy with no luck

I think she should be safe considering the new entries below her will drop heavily, and she should overtake that Oasis re-release above her.

I guess they’ve realized they don’t need to with their lead and the personalised sales still to be added plus the Crash Records performance which has gone on sale this morning - better to sell at full price if they have a comfortable lead I guess.
