Steps - coming to snatch their 3rd GH #1 then it seems, that’s a big enough lead plus they live just announced some indie in stores events.

Can’t see Madonna being an issue at all now with a 5k lead. Aitch would have to have damn good streaming to double his sales and that is with steps selling nothing for the rest of the week. I think Steps have got it.

Yeah that's not particularly close at all  Aitch can probably get #2 but Steps looking quite safe there.

Really quite surprised at how well a Madonna remix album is selling (especially as some of the physical versions must surely be pretty expensive?) but fair play!

This tbh - the download is £24.99!

wow huge lead

the occ article earlier was sooooo mis-leading

Steps are selling double than Aitch, not close at all

I can’t see him doing it but I guess most fans won’t know actual sales so they will think buying copies will help get to #1 and it will at least boost his sales.

That’s the thing, record companies love chart ‘battles’ like this to whip fanbases into a frenzy and ultimately both Steps and Aitch will benefit from additional sales as a result

NOOOO! Can Oasis BORE TF OFF????

Demi, GET YOUR ASS IN THE TOP 5! (I was hoping for 4 today with a high chance of ending the week at about 7/8!) :arrr: Hopefully the £5.99 pricing will help them now!

There’s a £10.99 version too.

I was expecting about 8K max for Madge for the week so pleasantly surprised at the opening mids.

Steps definitely seem safe. Who would have thought back in 1999 that they’d be capable of a #1 album over 20 years later

If Steps make it to #1 not only will they be one of a small amount of artists who can claim #1 albums in four different decades but part of an even more elite act who can claim 3 or more #1 greatest hits collections.

These are the ones who I know of that have had 3 or more

1. Elvis (5 - two with Philharmonic Orchestra)

2. Abba (4)

3. Michael Jackson (4 - one credited to Jackson 5 and Michael)

3. Rod Stewart (3 - one with Philharmonic Orchestra)

Anyone know if any more I did a huuuuge search and couldn’t find any others?

Its a great feat in both counts for them to achieve.
