June 5, 20233 yr Great sering kylie so high, this is just another great week for padam padam. Big week in the albums and a real real battle for number 1, I love both the foo fighters and noel Gallagher but ever so slightly want to see Noel hold on. Great to see Jake Shears and Louise Top 10 I'd love both to stay in. Great for Sophie EB, top 5 looking likely. They’ll definitely debut high on Spotify, but if they free-fall after that, it might not be enough to enter the top-20. But still, it’s a possibility. Very busy weeks in the singles charts! Oh and I totally concur with what gooddelta wrote about the ageist state of Radio 1 in particular. There are many reasons why it is not influential as before, and most of them frankly cannot be influenced by themselves (shift to streaming / social media), but they definitely added a lot to their disguise by trying too hard and therefore failing. Yes, they aren’t by far as influential as before, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be called out for that. Edited June 5, 20233 yr by perrobueno

June 5, 20233 yr Radio 1 is extremely sexist and ageist. They seem to deem Elton John and other older men as ok to play, yet Kylie won’t get a look in despite it being a huge hit. as a public sector broadcaster this shouldn’t be tolerated. Women over 40 are not irrelevant!! I’m so pleased for both Kylie and madonna, proving radio 1 wrong! 100% THIS!! Disgraceful behavioue from them.
June 5, 20233 yr Obviously the sales aren't terrible, but a shame Noel isn't doing better. Actually liked all the pre-release tracks which probably means the core fanbase aren't so keen on the commercial sound. :D
