Saturday at 19:574 days About where I expected for Taylor's numbers. For comparisons sake, I think 'No Time To Die' by Billie is the only soundtrack single to debut higher here in the UK (over 1m streams)? 'Lift Me Up' by Rihanna debuted at number 2 with 524,069 (behind Taylor, 'Anti Hero'!)

Saturday at 22:224 days I quite like the tune of Alyssa Grace’s song, and I usually like the country-ish twang vocals… but her voice is just bizarre! It almost sounds like a parody.

Sunday at 03:074 days I liked Alyssa Grace's previous top 100 hit - I can see why people find her voice offputting but I thought it worked well with that style of song (similar to Bella Kay). Withholding judgement on if it's the same on the new song xInteresting that Taylor has a (very) marginally lower opening day worldwide than Ariana had last week but a solidly higher opening day in the UK specifically (and the US) - does Ariana have more non-Anglophone appeal than Taylor?
Sunday at 05:174 days Taylor debuted at #1 only in four countries (US, UK, CAN, AUS). For instance in Finland, I Knew It.. went to #23.She is way more Anglo-American superstar than people think. Her success elsewhere depends a lot on what the material is like which is why I think she'll never go fully country. Also her strategy to not release pre-album singles has kept her album opening days massive, wonder if she ever changes that approach. Sunday at 09:133 days Yeah I tend to agree with this, her global success is fairly recent, but those four markets have always been where her career success has been most consistent/biggest (especially the US). I feel she will change tactic more toward singles going forward as that seems to have been the case since she started the latest era with multiple variations/cds/vinyls. I was personally expecting slightly bigger first day streams in the UK for her new one. Will be interesting to see how it holds up though the next couple of days.
Sunday at 10:183 days At least it's not as limited as with Ella Langley who charts basically only in Anglo-American countries and Scandinavia.Regarding the tactics, she knows very well that when she releases the whole album at once without pre-album singles, the chances of getting multiple number ones are way slimmer so to increase that tally, she needs to sell physical variants of singles. It worked with Opalite so she got two #1's but the third was impossible. Edited Sunday at 10:313 days by Sour Candy
