Oh you thought I was done with these? That's... a perfectly reasonable assumption actually, I am well known for not being able to commit to anything on this website (other than the song contests) for more than a couple of months. But I'm going to try and catch up. In the interests of not being stuck permanently in the past I'm going to try and do a double poll every week for the next 10 weeks with one being a catchup where we left off and the other being the actual current week. I will use the gap that needs to be filled in as motivation to stay consistent x

Anyhow, getting back into the swing of things...

Each week (aiming for Sunday evenings) I'll post one two of these polls and ask you all to select your favourites from the week's new entries in the UK Singles Chart top 100 (and the week 10 weeks prior, until I'm caught up again). Unlike the similar polls in the genre forums, this poll is multiple choice - I'll leave it to your discretion how you want to give votes, if you want to just vote for your favourite each week then go for it, if not you can vote for as many songs as you feel deserve a vote (I will encourage people to make sure they've actually listened to all of the songs before voting but I can't enforce that obviously x). There's also a 'none of the above' option if you want to put in a protest vote. And then feel free to post in the thread any rankings/ratings or general thoughts. The song with the most votes at the end of the week will be the winner.

Throwing back to early May with the last one of these polls I posted, British star of the moment for the last year and a bit Olivia Dean came out on top with the belatedly charting 'Baby Steps' from her breakout 2nd studio album 'The Art Of Loving', which had been streaming well enough to have many prior weeks in the top 100 if not for the three track rule but finally got its moment (and has dipped in and out of the top 100 again a couple of times since). It picked up votes from just under half of participants, 4 votes ahead of Noah Kahan's 'Doors'. That made it back to back Olivias winning! Oh and the AI song got a couple of votes this time. There'll be more of them to come, sadly.

I've kept you all waiting so long to pass your judgement on forum faves like the likes of Alex Warren, Chris Brown and D-Block Europe (or just Young Adz apparently, but using the more recognisable name to propel his solo song to the dizzy heights of the high 90s). I've decided to only include the one version of songs with multiple versions in the Spotify playlists this time around but if you prefer the original of 'Eurosummer' and want to vote for it based on that then go ahead. As for the current chart, it's a quiet one with only three new entries, one that is only a new entry because of the three track rule keeping it out in the previous few weeks and the other two from artists I've never heard of. Voted Madonna/Sabrina, Sienna, Zara/Shakira week 1 and Olivia R week 2.

The rest were all a bit boring for me or just plain bad. Trapped has at least made me want to listen to the original and far superior version by Colonel Abrams.

Just Freakin Out for week 19 and Honeybee (pleasant surprise!) and Trapped for week 29.

“Honeybee” is gorgeous and my favourite of the 2 weeks by a long way.

From the other week I like “Material Lover” and “Freakin’ Out” so gave them both a vote.

Week 1 I voted for Madonna & Sabrina, sienna, Zara & shakira and Stella! All bangers though not sure I would’ve voted for them all if this poll was in the original week as sienna had to grow on me, I know I know is a great tune, wish this was Stella’s current hit over the dreary Boston. Just Olivia in the 2nd one too
