To mark the 20th anniversary of one of the biggest chart battles in music history, let's see which song Buzzjack would put on top - Spiller's 'Groovejet' or True Steppers' 'Out of Your Mind'.

After Out Of Your Mind was announced as the Saturday #1 on CD:UK, I walked to my local HMV to buy my copy of Groovejet. The next day was about the most I ever celebrated a song being announced as #1. I don't go back to it often these days, but it's absolutely the better song of the two.

Out of Your Mind vs Spiller's gosh-awful follow-up single "Cry Baby"? A bit less cut and dry.

I had been listening to Spiller all Summer on Now 46-which was released about a month earlier. I remember thinking OOYM had no.1 on lock and being so shocked at the chart reveal. The better song clearly won. Memories of the Summer between Primary and Secondary school for me.

Spiller remains a classic. OOYM sounds badly dated now!

Spiller without a doubt, no contest really lol. I always thought Vicky was the weakest member of the Spice Girls vocally

Groovejet easily, the only negative about the song is that Sophie Ellis Bextor wasn't credited :(

I'm a huge Spice Girls fan but 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)' is definitely superior and has really stood the test of time :wub:

I voted OOYM. I have always hated Groovejet. It's never really appealed to me.

Spiller for me. I've never rated Victoria though. Easily my least favourite Spice!
