Yeah, the US has already had 7 new #1s already this year, compared to 16 across the whole of last year. It may well be 8 very soon, as Teddy Swims is looking likely to get to the top next week.

Billboard seem slow to respond To be fair they did completely demolish fanbase buying via artist websites with rule updates last year. That's part of the reason artists are releasing so many versions now to try and get around that.

March 19, 20241 yr Very unusually for me I really like all 4 songs in the running for #1 this week. Beyonce probably a bit less than the others but it's still a 7/10. Rarely like Ariana's songs but this one's excellent. On course to be my favourite top 4 for many years!

Ariana is the definition of harmless vanilla artist, she's not someone that polarises fanbases ala Gaga or Madonna, so really don't get the hate Being #1 in the US is no easy feat, even a few weeks ago Kanye was doing 2 million streams on Spotify per week but was nowhere close to #1 cos os lack of airplay, he had to increase and go over 3 million streams to achieve the #1... even Noah Kahan with one of the most popular tracks in recent months, only managed to peak at #10 again cos of lack or aiplay... I'd say the opposite, much more hard to get a US #1

It was pointed out that the US is usually harder to get to 1 but there have been numerous this year, I gave a solid reason why and you went back to why it’s usually more difficult to get to 1 in the US. How do you miss the point like that? Yes and, hiss and maybe a few more would not have been 1 without this new multiple version tactic hence what I’m saying makes total sense.
