Biography

Central Cee brings a brazen yet conscientious perspective to the hardened UK drill scene. Born Oakley Neil H.T. Caesar-Su in 1998, he was raised in the Shepherd’s Bush suburb of West London. At 13, he began making music that was heavily influenced by the late 2Pac, and further honed his mic skills by listening to contemporary rap juggernauts J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Initially attracted to the melodic UK trapwave sound of the late 2010s, Cee embraced drill production on 2020’s “Loading,” a boastful song that doubled as an open space for him to reflect on his harsh come-up. Central Cee’s debut mixtape, 2021’s Wild West, saw the MC making revelatory confessions on tracks like the standout “Commitment Issues.” The 2022 single “Doja,” which sampled Eve and Gwen Stefani’s 2001 hit “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” highlighted his ability to craft clever songs that connect with his insatiable audience. With the Drake-assisted “On The Radar Freestyle” and “Sprinter” with fellow UK rapper Dave—both released in 2023—Central Cee’s artistic reach has expanded from regional to global. - Apple Music

The sooner this f***s off to ACR, the better

I actually don't mind Somedays,

That sounds like a non-committal Boomtown Rats song :P

Will we be getting a mass ACR next week? Has anyone been keeping track? (Don't think we have an ACR thread this year). Would be nice to see a big clearout soon.

Can we please please please be finally rid of Gracie from number one next week ???

Hopefully Lola's chance will happen next week now.

I don’t think anything is going ACR just yet(half the chart already is and the rest got reset not long ago) I’m sure there is a thread too

Apparently 1,100 sales between 1 and 3 so hopefully next week there's a change.

There is one:

and in answer to your first question, no - most things increased last week

Jade at 44 !!

Argh, so close and yet so far!

Was thinking next week would be 3 weeks since the big reset? Although I guess some songs would've increased and avoided. And thanks just saw - apologies! Looks like everything will be SCR or DLC-1 at the top. Hopefully Central Lee's album next week, the Weeknd's album the week after and then Lady Gaga/Sam Fender in Feb can help shake up the top of the charts. Or at least make some songs go into decline and onto ACR.

Can see poor “APT.” holding at #2 next week with 1 and 3 switching. :(

"Tweaker" changing artist name again to one that isn't used by streaming services...

3 top 75 hits for Bad Bunny this week including ‘DtMF’ at #45!

That almost doubles his chart entries! *_* About time - fingers crossed "DtMF" will go top 40 next week.

I’m not happy dean Lewis did not make chart official chart blood joke

'IT girl' out peaking 'Fantasy'!

very pleased to see 'Headlock' finally make the top 40 (the best song from an equally brilliant album that deserves a lot more attention)!

plenty of new ones also I still need to listen to - I quite enjoyed the Hozier cover of 'Do I Wanna Know' on first listen + need to check out the Doechii, Sam Barber, Braelyn Rankins & SZA tunes :D

EDIT - a little disappointed not to see JADE get another pre-album top 40, not my favourite of the era so far but was hoping for at least low top 40 this week :(
