For the Sienna song the 'You Took My Heart' bit and production still reminds me of Pepper and Piano!

Loved Pepper and Piano!

I do think Die on this hill has the hallmarks of a song that would catapult to no.1 if performed on something like the Brits. I hope it does, it’s a brilliant song.

Glad to see Bruno gaining, it would be nice to have that top the chart too at some point.

Spotify has updated!

'All The Things She Said' up 41 places today *.* (now #142)

'Stateside' is in the top 50 for the first time with a new peak of #46 ❤️

Video confirmed for a Thursday release too, should see a decent boast next week.

I feel like Sienna could challenge in a few weeks if she's performing at The Brits. It seems the song has had a boost in vitality over a recent performance as is.

I hope she gets a performance slot, the presumptive critics choice/rising star recipient rarely gets performance slots nowadays. In the past 18 years, only 4 winners got a solo performance slot (Celeste 2020, Griff 2021, Holly Humberstone 2022, Myles Smith 2026) and two winners as part of duets Adele with Mark Ronson in 2008 and Jorja Smith with Rag N Bone Man in 2017.

Definitely agree re Sienna, she could have a big year ahead of her but I think a lot is riding on the Brits and the opportunity to showcase herself.

Seems like it's getting a bit of a boost again from the video release possibly? It did have a big gain in streams on Spotify although not moving from #3. Maybe could still be in contention for #1 yet.

Dave has closed the gap to Djo on Spotify a bit more today (from ~54k to ~16k).

Would be nice if Raindance could hit the top after Christmas stopped it! If Dave and Tems actually get engaged I can see that giving the song another boost

Olivia's new peaks today:

#22 Let Alone The One You Love

#28 The Hardest Part

#33 Ok Love You Bye

Feels like I'm repeating myself but I genuinely can't remember a precedent for this, where an artist's songs have continued to grow for pretty much the last 5 months, Christmas aside, with the album release 3.5 months ago. As an aside, Billboard doesn't have a 3-track rule, so 'Baby Steps' and 'I've Seen It' have now entered the US Hot 100 before they've been able to chart here.

Not a new peak

Also to add Dave's youtube views have increased nicely this week with the release of the music video. For 11-12/1, Dave did ~500k views vs Djo's ~200k. Perhaps Dave will be in with a good chance next week - I don't think he'll be able to catch Djo this week.

'Raindance' wouldn't have had any sales contributed to the chart from YouTube at all before the video came out as there was no official upload of it other than the auto-generated one (which appear to never count).

I was posting their apple positions over Xmas and it was even doing well during this period!

On the topic of Raindance, it is still so odd to me how the majority of African music hit songs still need an Anglospheric feature/collab to smash.

These songs are in English, why the need for a Bieber, Gomez, Drake, Dave feature.

I think "Last Last", "People", "Water" are the only one African music top tens of 2020s without the need a western remix/feature?

"People" had a remix with Cian Ducrot and "Water" had a remix featuring Travis Scott but they didn't need them to become hits. "Show Me Love" comes close to also fitting in but the British Bees & Honey got a credit.
