May 3May 3 32nd is no problem for me, but being 6th in semi 1 means I was in a more favourable semi for the song (I'll pretend I was in Nuggets. x). Oh well. It's been nice to try out something even if it was admittedly dangerous but I think 'Resonant Strings' made for a good change of pace from my last one. More important than that, I had a personal goal for doing BJSC: live out my BanG dream of sending rock music with cute girls, and probably going to the final as a nice bonus, I just needed the "right" one to take pride in sending for my nation's identity (not for insignificant things such as appeasing genre blocs ) and not to question my choice at the end.The fact that there were a fair number of votes and commiserations means a lot more than final positions, so thank you. I'm not quitting sending my brand of niche Japanese music. <3 Edited May 3May 3 by AllStarBySmashMouth

May 3May 3 Congrats to Zephyra! From my votes I'm very happy to see Pagasa, Bøtanikkä, Ennea and Neliönoir in the top 10, but equally would say Freidland, Fljótavík, Scotland 2 and Deandria were robbed.Glad for the last minute surge which got me to 26th, the exact same position as last month! You wait 44 contests for a 26th place etc etc x Special thanks to Land of DW, Neliönoir for the medal positions as well as all other voters ofc!
May 3May 3 Another thing I almost forgot. Thank you, Silas, for the minimal and chaotic hosting! The quick results help a lot. After all, we've been waiting for the results!I was kind of expecting the reveal from lowest position to 1st place. I remember that last year, casually reading through the results, when 'Infohazard' won by a landslide.

May 3May 3 Thanks Silas for hosting and give us an entertaining results <3Congrats to @DaTilt, very deserving winning entry considering no one really saw it coming <3. And yay, I am very chuffed with a 4th for 2charm (and not losing on tie this time, poor La Niña). So thank you everyone for all of your votes, and sorry I couldn't thank each one of you separately (I managed to give hearts to every votes you included 2charm) as I was getting ready to go out for dinner, but I am truly truly appreciative <3Also I am gagged at receiving 1 point from Miss @pavita <3, ich liebe dich Ennea leading the board for the most part of show was truly satisfying to see as well, so hopefully you'll continue to smash!!!Looking forward to 185 <3
May 3May 3 My spreadsheet all matches up (aside, sorry I've not got around to posting the Q streak update again this month, will still get it belatedly posted along with a new YTD update hopefully soon x)Yay for Pagasa actually getting that 2nd place finish this time and not deducting themselves out of it again ~ 'Glassman' was another great entry from Model/Actriz, I do personally like it a bit less than both 'Mosquito' and 'Cinderella' and I am rather shocked it's done even better than the latter (which I always thought sounded like a potential crossover hit whereas this one feels like a return to a more niche sound) but not complaining! I think at this point I might have to consider them a rare shadowbanned alt act xx There was only one other song in the top 10 I voted for and even that was one that only jumped in after my final relisten, excellent to see Ennea opening their final account with a top 10 hit after the triple DNQ false start, both them and Zephyra Continuum ultimately achieving a first top 10 rather quickly. There were only 13 songs that I didn't mention as at least a commiseration and 9 of those finished in the top 15 so I'm definitely not in tune this month haha - I am glad Emei was one of the bigger pop hits though, I do sometimes find this kind of over the top theatrical pop a bit cringe but she sells this song quite well! Also yass at Elëdan being top 15 even though I did have some hope of it being a niche carried top 10 hit like KMRU. More good stuff in the lower end of the top 20 as well from Danæviia, Utopia and Kathaldazia (sorry to the latter being the one just squeezed out of my votes by Ennea at the last minute oops!), most of the instrumental entries ending up packed together in the teens, shame Freidland finished a little way off - it's cool that they've qualified consistently recently but hope one of their entries will be a bigger hit soon!Had no idea what to expect for my 18 from Trifoski, it was a bit of a slow burner for me having settled for silver in the semi, so 25th is not too bad I suppose. Richard's voice reminds me a lot of Jonathan Higgs from Everything Everything and was very much captivated by the prose lyrics on this one. Also an ok result in the end for Pestolia and glad Scotland 2 at least picked up a bit after being in last place for a while, suppose a solo Bladee song was never likely to do near as well as his Evian Christ feature did. Dobago, Flynnonda and Deandria all underrated here too and Land of DW coming last is just outrageous after TEMMIS came 2nd before!! Admittedly did think this was a rather different sounding song but I thought it'd still have much stronger appeal than that.Clearly getting my answer that swapping BRÄLLE out for AKRIILA before was the wrong call haha but good that I did bring him out for his moment eventually after all - should have trusted my instincts that if I was still wanting to go back to it after 6 months then it must have something to it, very happy to get a third consecutive top 20 here (albeit still searching for a top 10 for the year), actually the first time I've managed that since Hazel English/Da Vosk Docta/Nur Jaber in BJSCs 148-150!I do have an entry planned for next month already this time and it'll contrast quite starkly, going from a very minimalist song to a very maximalist one - and as I already teased on SyncTube I'll be betraying all of my deeply held morals by sending a French language song (unless I save myself from that fate by finding something else I want to send more in the meantime but I doubt it). Looking forward to jetting off to Zephyra Continuum xThanks Phil for the hosting, very efficient as always!
May 4May 4 Yes yes YES @DaTilt I'm so overjoyed for you, congrats!! 'Struck' sounded like a winner the first time I heard it (during confirmations, in fact I tried sending it myself, oops!), I'm thrilled it picked up so many 18s. This is my favorite winner in a long time So sorry I never got around to hyping it in the Predictions thread or anything, not that you needed it!Good results for me with 6 of my votes making the top 10. Some of those were obvious hits but still happy for Botanikka, Yehesi, Bronzil, Nelionoir, Hendinia, oh and also Ennea on your first top 10! Would've liked a liiiittle bit higher for Friedland, Flynnonda and Juranabaijan. Yay for East Rukahavian finishing much higher than last place, too.
May 4May 4 Thank to everyone who supported Naomi. ‘Cherry’ wasn’t an immediate hit for myself but it’s just continued to grow and grow. If you haven’t heard ‘Speechless’ from the live action ‘Aladdin’ or any of her ‘Smile 2’ soundtrack songs, plz do!Thank you for hosting Silas. So speedy and I loved catching up and not having to wait for the results!

May 4May 4 Yay, back to having good winners ! [/shade]A solid pop song and it’s always nice to see a first time winner. Congrats!!!Love when you know 5/10 of the top ten pre - contest but you send something that comes dead last in the semi 🙈 So glad to see East Rukahavian avoid last place again because that would’ve been so unjust this time. Thanks for hosting!
May 4May 4 well done to datilt for a first time win! genuinely would never have guessed this result, but we love a new winner x
May 4May 4 First of all thanks a lot to @Silas for the brilliant hosting.I never expected to win this as there was not that much talking about my song in the threads and I did not spot it in any personal charts. Expectations were a bit raised during the end of the voting period by getting one top ten prediction from @CowTzy and a nice hype post by @brave lil toaster . During the presentation of the results, it got better and better and I was happy when arriving in the Top 10. Raising to 5, 4, 3 I got more and more nervous, whether there might be a chance winning this. The revelations of final points felt unreal. Thank you for crowning Charlotte - so happy with this win!!!Looking forward to host BJSC 185 - I have already an idea for the overall theme of it.
May 4May 4 Just catching up on the results. Well done to DaTilt! I haven’t been so invested in this contest just due to life being quite busy but I did not see that one coming, hearing it back I definitely see it now! Always good to have a first time winner and looking forward to seeing you host!DANSE coming 12th and hitting 200 points has really surprised me! This was the least sure of a qualifier I had been in a while so I’m really pleased it’s been received so well x thank you Friedland and Yehesi for your 18s and Herbilore for the 15 points.
May 4May 4 TILT!! Absolutely thrilled for you. As I said in the green room thread, your personal chart is always so in line with my taste that I was looking forward to you finally sending something pop that I was likely to vote for and here we are! I know it’s easy to say in hindsight but I did toy with you for the bottom of my top 10 prediction - probably would’ve gone for like 12th but to win by such a margin as a shock winner is impressive. And I know you’re gonna host a great contest too. What a superb top 10 aswell. Goes to show that one contest never follows the next in what does well - right back to a pop domination. Yehesi top 5 is so deserved, Cor Lupus, Bronzil, Nelionoir, Botanikka - many faves in the top 10.Did not expect top 10 for myself at all and I’m thrilled. I’ve not made much secret of the fact I really wanted Heavenly (but was happy for Jim after he missed out on Baby Jane!) and I didn’t really have a Plan B and felt flustered so to have found something in the last few days and not be sure if people still liked Bonnie McKee soundalikes in 2026 and then to finish only just behind my first choice feels really validating and a pleasant surprise. Especially nearly winning the semi that I was convinced I was crashing out of 😂Where to go next, must exit Girls Trip + potential Eurovision mode to find something ~
May 4May 4 Great hosting Phil and well done DaTilt! I was expecting a DNQ or bottom 10 in the final for Ignez so super happy with 18th 😍 He’s such a talented underground techno artist
