December 9, 20214 yr I've always felt a lot more attachment to things like Wham, Slade and especially The Pogues than Mariah's song personally. Maybe its part of a growing up in Britain and these songs dominating when I was a child but I totally agree. Slade's is my favourite Christmas song followed by Boney M they just make me think of Christmas in two different ways. :wub:

The 2004 version of Do They Know It’s Christmas has a lot of nostalgia for me too as I remember it being released as a kid. I recall the video being shown on a huge screen in the town centre and also watching it in school for some reason - the huge box TV being wheeled out on a stand. :lol:

It's just on the international Christmas playlists. The song is quite trash. One More Sleep would have been a no.1 and the biggest recent song if anyone other than Lazy Leona had released it.

Without him the top 3 would be Adele with a dull song on its 97th week at number 1 and two decades old Christmas songs. Not only that but the only other song looking like it might break that top 3 is yet another novelty song about frigging sausage rolls. Ed has saved the December charts.
