It is Madonna. She's always going to obtain some level of success with each album. We're not talking about a Mel C album entering the lower end of the top 10 with a few thousand sales from streams. Let's not forget that The Weeknd collaboration has given Madonna's monthly listeners a boost, which has benefited her this time around. "Popular" is her only song so far to reach a billion streams. She hadn't had that sort of boost prior to Madame X's release in 2019.

Be real here popular would of gotten a billion streams with or without madonna she didnt exactly give it a humongous boost

I do! Not everything by any means but I prefer to have downloads for now of things I want in the versions I like rather than just what’s on a streaming platform.

I back this up, some things you can download on iTunes are not yet readily available on streaming (and it's so annoying) so I like to download. I also like you can upload on iTunes too (although need a portable bloody CD player now!)

At least Wonderwall is an English song, adopted by fans of the England football team. That's more than be said for Sweet bloody Caroline. I'd also much rather hear Wonderwall than Sweet Caroline. I'd be happy never to hear the latter song again.

I don't want them to have a random chart run 30 years later that bumps their chart history up to being #1. Unless they truly have a cultural phenomenon moment ala Running Up That Hill, which makes their second coming as relevant as the first time round. It just wouldn't feel very authentic to me.

I'd say being adopted as a World Cup anthem counts as a cultural phenomenon moment tbf. Especially if we do actually win somehow.

Is it though? I've barely heard it anywhere despite watching most England games in the pub and loads of the world cup on TV.

If England do win, can't see Wonderwall being inextricably linked with it in years to come ala RUTH with Stranger Things or 3 Lions with Euro 96.

He’s won a Silver Clef award and the ceremony is tonight (also on the list of people that will be performing) - could give it a boost.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it avoids ACR next week - sales are low at the top so it will not be as difficult for it to register an increase.
