I don't remember the country's name but I wanna say the poster Noahspike was the person behind it.
December 5Dec 5 Nelly votes are in! My electronic and alternative hunnies brought it, although there is a big pop song that was sitting in my commerisations for most of the week that managed to fly into my votes 👀Incredibly difficult semi to compete in and vote for. There have been months where I have had to pad my votes, but not this time
December 5Dec 5 Oh - I just suddenly remembered the aforementioned country's name. Isn't it amazing how things just suddenly come to you sometimes? It was Desbuanda. So I went to the ever-glorious Songs of BJSC thread and looked through all their entries. It was this one: Ngaiire - I Can't Hear God Anymore {Desbuanda LXXXV; SF-30}

December 5Dec 5 Author I always thought the first nul pointer would be something non-descript, rather than something by a country like Trifoski whose entries are polarising but always entertaining.Sending a b-side or album filler by some 90s middle of the road artist like Michael Bolton etc in a competitive semi could do it but I don't think anyone would dare. Not that I remembered it very well, I just had a vague memory of there being another one not long after the Trifoski one so I looked it up. Don't think there's been a third yet. always been proud of myself for preventing one nul-pointer, B.A.P's Warrior from 41, because that was a banger that deserved far more than the one point I chucked at it, far more similar to Inanimate Insanity, which was quite good/interesting tbf.
December 5Dec 5 I seem to recall there was a contest around 2016/17 time where Beaverdonia prevented TWO nul pointers in the same semi, in fact giving them his 12 and 10 points!I don't think I've ever solely prevented a nul pointer but I remember in 101 (the next contest I'll be reviewing for my reflection thread) I gave my 12 points to Buzzjack Mountain who only received 4 more points in total (those all coming from Séyetana) so that's probably my closest call.
December 5Dec 5 Author I've finally voted too. Semi 1 was decent and I happily could have voted for 15 songs but only have one major commiseration.But Semi 2...yeah, even with the loss of what would have been my 12 pointer this was a bloodbath. 14 songs I really love and another 10 I enjoy a lot beyond that. Gutted to have to leave loads of those out.
December 5Dec 5 There were 5 songs I could've easily given at least 5 points in any other contest.. but they landed in my commiserations this month.Semi 2 is stacked.
December 5Dec 5 Author Reminders time. You all have until 2pm GMT tomorrow. No votes will be accepted after this and 33% deductions will be applied.Semi 1:@jakee@Lindsey. @Jade @Colm @Mack. @J00prstar @Freeze @Miri @Calum @!!! @dhwe @Silas Semi 2:@jakee @dancember @awardinary @Klumzee @Harve @Chez Wombat @Roba. @RabbitFurCoat @*Tim @Jacob- @diva thin muffin @seven. @jimwatts @RobBot @Cody Piastri
December 5Dec 5 Hey y'all - Rich and the mods know this already but for full transparency it's unlikely I'll be voting in the semis as my Dad had to go into hospital on Wednesday so this week has been busy AF and life comes first obviously.Still, not above using this situation to beg for sympathy votes, vote New Lexico and support trans rights!
December 5Dec 5 I have exactly 10 songs I want to point but no idea how I'm gonna order them so bare with xxxx
December 5Dec 5 Bronzil votes are in - a lot of songs to root for here, including a long tail outside my top 10!
December 6Dec 6 Author Ok, I've input everything I have so far and there would certainly be some shocking results in there if things don't change. But I'm still awaiting 11 votes in Semi 1 and 10 in Semi 2, so they surely will.Support your faves, and vote by 2pm please or you'll get a third knocked off your score. Then join me tomorrow evening to find out who made it through (time TBC).
December 6Dec 6 Thanks for the tag!Jadakissnia have now voted.I've been quite sick this week, so missed the listening session for my semi as I was finding it too difficult to look at a screen for most of the day, but made SF2 and thought it was a bloodbath. Caught up on my semi today and it didn't blow me away to the same extent but I'm very fond of my favourite discovery which currently has DNQ predictions eep, hope it makes it through 🙏
December 6Dec 6 I've finally voted!🥳Wow, that was really hard. Mot just because I liked so many songs (close to 20), but I struggled to order my votes. One song rocketed up from outside my top 10 to being my 8-pointer, another down from 7 points to 0, another from 1 to 5. Stuff like that. Yikes! But I'm happy with my votes now🤩 Fingers crossed for my favorites 😁
